Squid Game 3 EP 3 4

The baby is apparently both CGI, puppet, robotic and in very few scenes actually real! Seriously though, this whole season shattered my heart in so many ways, but here I am watching it again, with DG as company on a very rainy Monday in Sweden. Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤️‍🩹

Well, I'm back from a few days of vacation and I haven't been able to post my reaction to the first two episodes. So I'm going to make a super long comment for all four episodes. -DG the only ones I thought of and for whom I immediately felt empathy are the grandmother and Jun-hee who are characters who did nothing to deserve this. No matter how much we liked or disliked the other characters, but people like Gi-hun, Hyun-ju or Hongsik chose to be there, they voted of their own free will to stay. - Gi-hun has lost his mind, blaming Dae-ho for his plan makes no sense and it breaks Gi-hun's character in my opinion. Moreover, killing Dae-ho with his own hands proves In-ho, the front man, and Il-nam right. This plan was stupid and had no chance of working even if they had 10 times more ammunition. simply because In-ho let the plan unfold. Gi-heun went blindly without knowing the number of enemies, the topography of the places, the access codes or their means of retreat. - Jang geum-ja for me the MVP character of the entire Squid Game saga is Mrs. Jang geumja this woman is a marvel throughout the game she cared for others and her son, she took care of Gi-hun and Jun-hee she even accepted that her son took her life rather than her son kill a child. she even sacrificed the life of her son and her own to save the lives of people even purer than her a newborn child and his mother. she is one of the only 5 or 6 characters out of the 500 present in the game to have humanity. I regret that she hung herself at that moment. I thought that maybe she would take care of Jun-hee to compensate for the loss of his son. - Hyun-ju, this character was one of the characters who voted to stay in the game, so my opinion was that he was basically disqualified because he was responsible for everything that could happen to him in the game. But at least, unlike Gi-heun, Hyun-ju fully assumed his choice. He decided to stay in the game and endanger the only people who accepted him. So he decided to stay with them and protect them from the worst. He died with his head held high. - Jun-hee, another endearing character, is the Saebyok of this season, again one of the rare truly human people. She never killed anyone and did everything possible to get out of the game. - Kang Dae-ho, this character was also one of the rare truly human. and caring. He just collapsed and was overcome by fear, he abandoned his friends. But I don't blame him, he reacted like a large majority of people would have. He still tried and participated in Gi-hun's raid, he didn't deserve to die. - Lee Myun-gi is one of the gray characters in the show. He is objectively a greedy man and a crook who doesn't seem trustworthy. Yet he seems to be doing his best to get out of the game with Jun-hee and their baby. These methods are extreme but justifiable if he is sincere in his desire to get Jun-hee out of the game. - Yong sik le (son) this guy is a piece of shit I'm harsh but he makes me puke he is the only one responsible for his own death, he put his own mother in an inextricable situation, voted to stay in the game, put his mother in danger to end up chickening out and trying to kill a young mother and her baby pushing his mother to kill him and commit suicide - the Shaman, the player 100 and Nam gyu the psychopath, the crazy woman and the cliché of the man attracted only by money these 3 characters are very clichéd villain stereotypes and they are detestable. Very predictable characters - the baby is the big surprise of this season having made an innocent baby a "player" is both completely crazy and disturbing but also intriguing and mysterious. It's obvious that now the goal will be to save this baby (at least for the rare players who still have a minimum of humanity). -the VIPs, no need to talk about them, they're shit and not very well-written characters. -the whole intrigue to find the island is the weak point of the series. It's better paced than in the first part of the season. But it's not very interesting. -the skipping rope game was an excellent idea. The strong point of the series is really the psychological side that there is in each game. They don't do sensationalism with very gory deaths like we can see in Saw for example. The deaths are very "clean" but there is always a very high tension. - Once again, Jun-hee's sacrifice is incredible; she placed all her trust in Gi-hun, and perhaps also in Myou-gi, to save the baby. - Seeing Player 096 pushing people off the ramp demonstrates once again that Gi-hun's faith in humanity is being put to the test.

after seeing interviews & hearing how Im Si-wan described his character and how he wanted other people to see 333’s actions, he’s definitely not a good person but i now understand why he did the things he did thanks to his explanations. also hearing him say “don’t hate Myung-gi too much” 🤣

Something I wanted to mention under the last episodes but completely forgot because I was too distraught: Jo Yuri, the actress playing Jun-hee, former IZ*ONE member, is finally coming back with new music after two years! The pre-release, called Growls and Purrs, came out yesterday and the title track, Farewell for now, releases on Monday! - Is there some rule that any English dialogue in Squid Game needs to be terribly written and delivered in the most annoying way imaginable? - Drug man's experiencing withdrawal symptoms. And honestly? Good. Suffer. - At this point, the people who vote to continue the games aren't much better than the VIPs watching it. All of them would sacrifice a newborn child just for a slim chance of getting more money. - Nope, I will not rationalise the actions of Myung-gi. It doesn't matter that he didn't see who he was stabbing. The problem is that he kept killing indiscriminately after he had already cleared his win condition for this game. It was completely pointless. - Oh god no, the grandma... - I understand, she doesn't want to leave her child behind but at the same time, bringing a baby into this game seems like an awful idea. - Are these VIPs even worse than the ones in season 1? Is that even possible? Some Elon Musk type shit right there. - If Myung-gi hadn't murdered Hyeon-ju, she probably could have carried Jun-hee over the bridge. - I really didn't need to see Jo Yuri dying in here. Fuck. - I knew what the episode title was so I saw this coming. Still, that doesn't make it any better. - Well, the kinds of people who would set up a game like this in the first place obviously also wouldn't have any qualms about putting a newborn infant into those games. Anything for eNtErTaInMenT, eh? - And like I said, the players aren't much better. That child is going to grow never knowing her mother. The least y'all could do is letting her have some inheritance money. But you're willing to kill an infant just for monetary gain. - Yes, the police are completely incompetent, as always. But to be somewhat fair, Choi Woo-seok also sounds like a madman here. - Okay, at least he got the info through to Hwang. - And the cat's out of the bag. - I hate to say it but the Front Man is right. Gi-hun has no choice but to kill everyone else in order to save the baby.

Oh, and one more thing on the topic of death games: Alice in Borderland season 3 releases on September 25th!

I don’t know if you also see it but someone pointed out that the guy who got arrested for breaking into the captains house, kinda looks like han jisung because of the eyes and eyebrows and general expressions 😂

I hate this season as much as I love It. So much pain for those losses. I do not condem 333 too much, till these episodes, cause I don't know how I would have acted there to let survive myself, I mean in that situation what will you do to keep you alive? For sure I would not have killed people for fun and money if not necessary but I get the feeling that this series shows in deepth how much human are such naive beings and egoistics and this season was much more worse that the first one in terms of brutality. So sad it already ended 😔 The cast was amazing PS: I hate the VIP so much here, they irritate the shit out of me, even their english is nervewreaking 🤢🤮🫩

Lud :)
