Yep, it was coal gas. It somehow seeped thru the black spot in her room.. and to see that glaring difference between how chung-seop's mom (the artist) and yeong-bom's mom treated geum-myong is making me real pissed with the latter. And yes, Yeong-bom should have said something instead of just sitting there and let his mom insult the love of his life..

I really liked this episode too because it gave us so many different and new things, like you mentioned the scene between Eunmyeong & Hyunsuk was great the way they were both crying and thinking about running away, kind of mirroring Aesun and Gwangshik. I had the same thought as you when I first saw this episode and thought it was mold, but back then a lot of Korean households used coal briquettes to heat the house and occasionally there were leaks resulting in dangerous situations like with Geummyeong.

- Why am I seeing Bill Clinton on my screen 💀 - Man, Shit-gil really let himself go. Not that he was ever a likable man but you know what I mean. - Yeah, if I was in Geum-myeong's shoes, I'd go for the artist. Soldierboy's mum is insufferable. And like you say, the fact that he doesn't stand up for Geum-myeong speaks volumes. - I tried weed a few times but never cigarettes. And why would I? They have NO benefit. From what I know, cigarettes only calm you down because your addiction makes you very tense when you're not actively smoking them. Cigarettes only bring you down to the same level that nonsmokers naturally have all the time. Complete scam tbh. - Been a while since we saw kid Ae-sun? But who is that woman and what's her deal? - Oh my god, what the fuck. - Gwang-rye always there in the right moment. - Holy shit I was actually worried that Ae-sun could lose another child here.
