I actually really liked that there was no rivalry between Soldier Boy and the painter.. I mean, that would have been very Kdrama, but at the same time what I love about this show so much, is that it's not the typical Kdrama, but rather way more realistic. Like a poetic telling of someone's actual life. People just come and go into our lives, and not every relationship is that dragged out soap Opera, or that absolute true love as it was with Ae-Sun and Gwan-Sik. I love this show so much.. it's so comforting, to be honest..

Yeah that was a very much appreciated surprise to be honest (that there was no soap opera kind of bs between them as I suspected there would be lol)

This is the best drama I have ever watched

This was by far the toughest and most frustrating episode to watch for me, because I wanted to punch the mother-in-law through my screen the entire god damn episode lol glad Geummyeong came to the right conclusion and broke the engagement off herself. And what I love about the show the most whenever there are heartbreaking scenes like the final goodbye after the breakup between Geummyeong and her ex fiancee, it's followed up by some absurd or hilarious situation like her crying in the taxi while the North Korean leader's death is announced.

- I love how everyone in that emergency room is already tired of his whiny bullshit 😂 - A lot of stuff mirroring the relationship of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik but nothing quite measures up. - Seo Taiji mentioned! Makes sense, 1993 is just one year after he and his boys basically invented the genre of kpop as we know it today. - You mean to tell me that the artist never actually went for her? Damn. Huge missed opportunity. - His problem is that he's just way too meek and passive. If he just went for it, he probably wouldn't have too much trouble winning Geum-myeong over. - „We're late.“ „Yes, I can tell.“ - Does Geum-myeong really like Yeong-beom that much that she's willing to put up with his nightmare parents? Especially when he seems incapable of standing up to his mother? - He has the superficial appearance of Gwan-sik but lacks everything that makes Gwan-sik an acutal good partner and husband. Spineless coward. How did he even survive the military? - The difference between the parents is striking. Geum-myeong's parents actually care about her and want the best for her. Yeong-beom's parents are just complete assholes. - You know, the sad thing is, Yeong-beom's mum reminds me of my own grandmother. Only she isn't like that to people outside her family, but rather towards her own daughter. No wonder my mum went no-contact with her. - Okay, that bitch just hates poor people. - Wither away in misery, you hateful bitch. - This is exactly what I'm talking about. My grandma is just like this. Emotionally manipulative, trying to get people to feel sorry for her. When really it's all her fault for being this horrible to everyone around her. - I do feel sorry for Yeong-beom. Not his fault that his parents are as horrible as they are. Still, he could have done more to protect Geum-myeong from them. Especially his mother. It's clear that no one has ever truly put her in her place. I say Geum-myeong is completely in the right for breaking it off here. - Still, this sucks. - „Different times“ is not an excuse for being a horrible person. A narcissist is a narcissist. I know this all too well as I already said.
