When I try to tell people about this show, and they ask me "what is it about?", I honestly can't explain it without making it sound boring 😂 It's so hard to explain what it's about... It's about a family's life story? A couple's story from beginning to end? A poetic telling of someone's "normal" life story? How to put into words, how powerful and beautiful this show is? It's like I'm watching a beautiful book of poetry.

Honestly, explaining how good this show is based on its premise, on paper, would never truly do it justice; you're 100% right, lmao!

1:48 true his crying faces are priceless but wait until you see him barking on all fours towards SNSD Seohyun in "Love & Leashes", as Scorsese would say "absolute cinema" lol

- Oof, job hunting in a bad economy sucks. - Hm. I honestly preferred the artist in his pre-enlistment days, with the longer hair, the glasses and the stubble. Now he just looks like Generic Conventionally Attractive Korean Man #48. - Yeah, they're gonna need that strong alcohol to relieve that awkwardness. - Ok but they are actually so good for each other?? This feels much more natural and healthy than what she had going on with Yeong-beom. - My man is NOT doing well out at sea 💀 - It really rubs me the wrong way how her family seem to treat Geum-myeong's wedding as something mournful. This should be the happiest day! Why tf are they so gloomy? - How the fuck are the old landlord and his wife still alive? They were already ancient when Ae-sun was just 18. - Let's just say, it's a good thing my first proper love interest moved to a different country before she got married. But I do sympathise with soldierboy in that way a bit. - I don't love how the bride is viewed almost as an object, a possession to be given away to her groom and his family. Different culture, I know, but that entire notion seems kinda sexist. - Still, despite it all, Gwan-sik is an amazing father who just wants the best for Geum-myeong.
