Best Gayo Daejeon I've ever watched! kiiikiii, Meovv, YoungK, ADP, Woochan, Ive, Lesserafim, NMIXX, aespa & itzy were all amazing but for me Babymonster and the Pretty Savage cover took the cake for best stages! Baemon was just on some different kind of energy, they really took the crazy juice before walking on that stage. I agree with you, that everyone brought their A-game for this show, havent seen a weak performance here. Leeseo, Eunchae & Kyujin arent just members of IVE, LeSserafim & NMIXX, they are all the maknaes which makes this even crazier and funnier. I think Kyujin became the first JYP idol to say "bitch" on national television lol In a way I expected Kyujin the most to eat up this concept, cause she always seems extremely charismatic within NMIXX as well & Eunchae is probably the one who has come closest to this concept with her own group before, so actually Leeseo was the wildcard here for me, but wow did she kill it! BTW in the talk section before the stage they basically just said how they all turned 20 (adults) this year (Leeseo is just a few days away from turning 20 but said she waited for 5 months already lol). Eunchae said her unnies told her how they expected this collab to be super cute, so they wanted to prove them wrong and go for something mature. I guess they successfully completed that challenge haha

This show is one of the most anticipated because it's the one where we hope to see incredible and unprecedented collaborations between the groups. - I remember some incredible collaborations like: DG you can watch these older performances Twice x Red Velvet x GFriend x I.O.I Kei x Umji x Yeri x Arin x Yuqi EXO x NCTU x NCT Dream x SHINee Twice x day6 x SKZ Joy x Mijoo x Tzuyu x Sowon x Jiho x Yeonwoo One of the funniest: BTOB x SKZ x MonstaX on "Good Girl Bad Girl" Chungha x Seulgi x Sin B x Momo x Yujung And one of the most legendary for me: SNSD x Girls' Day x Twice x GFriend x AOA - For this show, my 5 favorite performances are: - 1. Ive This group was the most in keeping with the theme of the event. Their Christmas costumes, the Christmas remixes of their songs, and their performance and presence made it my favorite performance. I was disappointed with their performance at AAA, but this time they were perfect. - 2 Kyujin x Leeseo x Eunchae I would have added one or two more members to this collab to make it truly legendary. Personally, I would have added Ningning from Aespa to really create a collab between four ultra-popular 4th generation groups. If New jeans hadn't had all the legal issues with their agencies, I would have liked to see a collab with IVE x Lesserafim x Aespa x New Jeans x Nmixx. I was surprised by the song choice since they are the maknaes of their groups; I was expecting a cuter song or something more in the Christmas spirit, but they chose "Pretty Savage." It would have been incredible if they had chosen Maniac. - 3 Riize Even though the performance wasn't Christmas-themed, their choreography and performance were very good. It's hard not to put them in the top 5. - 4 Baby Monster Same here, it's a shame they weren't Christmas-themed or didn't do remixes of their songs. But they have such talent and charisma on stage that it's impossible not to put them in the top. The member who stole the show wasn't Aheyon as usual, or even Asa, but Rora. Her laughter and facial expressions were a sensation. The killing point of the performance. - 5 NCT wich and NMIXX NCT wich perfectly fits the theme of the event, and seeing boy groups cover girl groups and vice versa is exactly what we expect at Gaeyo Daejeon. And NMIXX is also perfectly in keeping with the theme with their outfits and their songs.

Wow. You are quick with the reaction. I don't think I had much issues with the camerawork, BUT I remember having quite a lot of issues with the audio (mics). Let's see if a 2nd watch will change that. BOYNEXTDOOR (Woonhak and Leehan) "Isn't this an IU song?". You are right. It's a cover of "Merry Christmas ahead" by IU. CORTIS Just to help you out: "debut" is pronounced like [day-byoo], and "debuted" is pronounced like [day-byood]. HUENING KAI x ZHANG HAO x SOHEE x SHINYU "Isn't this a Day6 song?". You are right. It's a cover of "You Were Beautiful". KIIIKIII What an amazing mashup. One of the highlights of this festival for me. 🧡 HEARTS2HEARTS Aaaand another amazing mashup. 🧡 ALL DAY PROJECT Youngseo and aegyo? 🤔 Hmm, I know what you mean, but I wouldn't call it aegyo though. Sometimes she looks she's actually the fiercest one of them all 😅 I do agree with her balancing things out though. Even though I appreciate all the effort Tarzzan puts in his performances (I mean, the guy did a somersault and a belly slide!), but for me it also comes off across a bit as trying too hard 😬 I agree that "Look At Me" keeps getting better. It's one of those songs that lends itself very well to live stage performances. IZNA "Izna came in like iznat about the Christmas spirit". I see what you did there 😉 ILLIT "I love this choreo". I know right!? It's that perfect match of a unique song with a unique choreo 😍 (I'm not cute anymore). KYUJIN x EUNCHAE x LEESEO Just to help: Leeseo is pronounced like [ee-soh]. The "eo" is always 1 sound [oh], never 2 [ay-oh]. BOYNEXTDOOR "See the difference in quality?". Yeah, the close up cams were good, but to me the quality of the rest (during the whole show) was a bit disappointing. Like, aren't we living in the 4K era right now? Why does this all look AT MOST 720p? Not even talking about the frame rate and the slight delay. When I was watching the live stream, I gave it a pass because it was a stream. But these are videos, so I expected a bit more tbh. NMIXX Yeah, sounded like they had some mic issues unfortunately. Bae singing "you're my bae" always gets me 😄 NCT WISH Yeah, I always love it when male artists perform a female artists' song, and vice versa. WOOCHAN He did a great solo. Quite impressive for a member of a fairly new group to already perform solo on a great stage like this 👏 ENHYPEN, ITZY, TXT, THE BOYZ, STRAY KIDS, NCT DREAM Because the songs they performed aren't really my taste, I couldn't enjoy the performances as much unfortunately. I did like the refreshing concept of The Boyz. ATEEZ Amazing performance. I wouldn't be mad if this had been the closing act 😋

Holy hell, I didn't expect it THIS fast. It'll be harder to find something to comment on every artist here because there's so many and each performance is rather short. But I'll try! Among the artists you've skipped is AxMxP. They're a pretty sick new rock band. I think you'd like them. If you ever have some extra spare time :) YEONJUN - With how that begins right in the action, I thought yesterday that they started the livestream too late 😅 - I'm pretty sure the other Katseye members are back home in America with their families for Christmas. Yoonchae, being Korean, would obviously be here in Korea so she's filling in for Daniela. - Always love the grungy vibe of Talk to You. - Yoonchae also did so good! Christmas Song Covers - Of course Cortis wouldn't just do a normal cover of Jingle Bell Rock 😆 - Yes, Illit Wonhee and BND Woonhak are doing Merry Christmas Ahead by IU, originally from 2010. - Wonhee can say that she's „not cute anymore“ however often she likes, it just will never be true 🥰 - Shinyu is from TWS, and you know the other three in that Day6 cover. - Mate, Day6 is literally in the video title 😂 But yes, it's You Were Beautiful. - Young K's voice is so good. - Would have been nice to have the full band here too, but at least Young K gets a special stage as one of the MCs of this show. KiiiKiii - They didn't show what songs they were gonna do during the livestream. So the sudden XOXZ was a complete surprise to me and I was FLOORED. - I wouldn't worry too much about them not doing their own thing. I mean, it's literally in the song title, „I Do Me“, right? 😄 - I am very curious about what's next for KiiiKiii. Even with only 9 songs in their discography so far, they've already shown massive versatility and the capacity to go WEIRD. - This mashup is amazing and I need way more artists to do this kind of thing. Really intertwine two songs into one. Hearts2Hearts - And this is what I mean. H2H just replaced the bridge of Focus with a short section of Dirty Work. Still pretty cool but KiiiKiii did a better job of weaving the two songs together into one cohesive unit. - To be fair though, Dirty Work is just way too far removed from Focus in style and tempo to make a KiiiKiii-style mashup possible. It probably could have worked if they chose Whiplash instead. Eh, they did what they could with these two songs. And that was really damn good. Please don't take this as me bashing H2H in any way. They killed it! - KickFlip also did the same thing, mixing My First Love Song with Dream Bus by Day6. CORTIS - GO! ALLDAY PROJECT - Remember, Youngseo was originally meant to debut in ILLIT. Came in second place in their survival show. She left the team before debut but she definitely took some of that cute energy with her to ADP. - Tarzzan sliding into your DMs like - I don't like the song by itself but the live performances are pretty fun, I'll give them that. izna - ...is this an ad? 💀 - Mamma Mia needs a strong remix like this to actually work as a song. The original instrumental is way too empty and with that talking chorus it sounds more like a poetry slam than an actual song. I find it quite boring honestly. THIS, however, this is dope! MEOVV - I feel like Meovv are so performance heavy that people often overlook their amazing vocal skills. This group is way too op. - This is the same version of Burning Up they also played at AAA. - Pretty cool that the Rush Remix also has its own unique choreo. I think I still like some parts of the original dance better but just the fact that it does have this is very much appreciated. BABYMONSTER - PINK ASA! - asdjköalösa ahyeon aaaaaahhhhh - „turned this into a Babymonster concert“ They do it every time! Since Christmas 2024, every SBS Gayo has just been Baemon feat. a bunch of other artists. This is THEIR stage! - They don't even know what the fuck lipsyncing is. - rora actually scares me - If Babymonster don't tour in Europe next year, I might actually go Psycho. ILLIT - What is this, the Nightmare before Christmas? - Imo they should lean into that spooky side more, they do it really well. ZEROBASEONE - Unacceptable that we only have three more months left with this iconik group. RIIZE - SM, just let Riize go full Metal for the next comeback, these guys can clearly pull it off! Leeseo x Kyujin x Eunchae - MAKNAES ON TOP - This is just fucking dope. This is what I watch the Gayos for. Those collab stages that you just don't see anywhere else. Award shows don't really do these. You gotta go to KBS, SBS or MBC for that. BOYNEXTDOOR - These aren't even Christmas songs technically, but they sure make them feel like it! TAEYONG - THE NEO KING IS BACK. - Neo-ism is definitely new, not released anywhere outside this live performance. I don't know if it's an actual song or just the intro to the main performance. - He's back and he's HUNGRY. - It's so good to see Taeyong again. His enlistment felt like it was lasting forever. I really missed him. But sadly I don't think that means an NCT 127 comeback is imminent. While the King is back, now Jaehyun, Doyoung and Jungwoo are enlisted. I guess they could make a comeback as 5 but idk, that doesn't feel right... - Nah man, he just returned on the 14th! It hasn't even been two weeks since he got out and here he is already, back on stage. - There were some singles that dropped on the NCT channel (501 is a BANGER, you really gotta do yourself a favour and listen to that one) but they were recorded before he went into the military and dropped during his enlistment. NMIXX - Have I mentioned that I'm going to see Nmixx live? Twice! In Amsterdam and Frankfurt. And I have a second row ticket in Amsterdam! I am so fucking excited, you have no idea! - Kyujin why are you speaking backwards - The most vocally talented group since Mamamoo and Red Velvet. And this is the one where SBS messes up the microphones. Great. - Anyway, stan Nmixx for a happier life. Blue Valentine is the best kpop album of 2025 and it's not even close‼ If anything still deserves an album reaction from you, it's that one. Reality Hurts is my kpop song of the year. I'm about to go absolutely mental at those concerts. LE SSERAFIM - Yeah, KBS is the long one. 3 days total, 2 in Japan, 1 in Korea. Currently only the Korean stages are out and that whole thing is actually about 40 min shorter than SBS right here. 25 regular performances and 9 covers. But once they release the Japanese stages on the 30th (another 27 performances, and way longer ones with about 4 songs per artist, plus 6 covers), the playlist is likely gonna explode to well over 6 hours long. You just gotta decide if you have the time or energy for that. You have never watched the KBS Gayo in the previous years, probably precisely for that reason. It's just so long! - But if you want, you could just do the Korean stages for now. That would be like a 2 hour reaction. 2.5 hours at most. The Japanese stages aren't even out yet anyway. - Christ, Chaewon. I am but a weak man in your presence. - Got the Drag Queens from the MV on stage! IVE - Hmm, another one where the audio mix isn't great. Turn those mics up! - KiiiKiii already took care of the slayage with XOXZ, so IVE can now go full wholesome 🥰 NCT WISH Twice Cover - NCT Wish are overall a very cute group so they're kinda perfect for this song 😄 - I just hope they're okay. They've been on a frankly insane schedule. Tour since end of October, KBS Festival on the 14th, concerts in Japan on the 18th and 19th, over to Korea for MMA on the 20th, straight back to Japan for three more concerts on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd, traveling back to Korea again for SBS Gayo on the 25th, and MBC Gayo + their January comeback are just around the corner, with even more tour dates all the way through to the middle of April. What the hell is that, SM? Give these boys a break, please! Especially since Ryo is sick, from what I've heard. Special solo stages - I'm pretty sure these are all original songs (except for Chaeryeong obviously) - I think my favourite from these is Haruto. - Though Chaeryeong is immediately making me question that choice 🫠 aespa - Their voices are a lot clearer and more audible than at MMA, nice. Good dance break too! - I was initially confused why they stopped the regular Rich Man promotions on the normal music shows after only two or three days. But seeing how often they perform it here at these year-end shows, that actually makes more sense now 😅 - aespa are unfortunately widely known as a very low-energy group with boring live performances. I've been to two of their concerts and sadly, that isn't entirely wrong. Especially on the second tour. There were moments that were undoubtedly great but there were also others where they were clearly just going through the motions. They were a lot more energetic on the first tour. I do think that their third tour started way too soon after the second one ended. Less than 6 months in between. I just hope they can get a good proper break soon so they can regain their energy. TREASURE - Speaking of live energy, here's Treasure! A question to YG: are you ever gonna send these boys to Europe? Please? ENHYPEN - Niki with that silver streak, I like it! - We're just going a bit jazzy, a bit groovy today, huh? - Make slipping and falling look like it's part of the choreo, then you're a true professional. Nice save! ITZY - BANGER song! It just keeps getting better the more I hear it! TXT - Is that trophy the award for being the most dangerous group? 😏 THE BOYZ - Yo, is it just me or is everyone fucking ripped here? - VVV is such a good song, definitely one of their best ever! - It's just sad that their new company is absolute trash. Maybe worse than their old one. Look into the case around Ju Haknyeon and how he was kicked out of the group because of baseless rumors about something that he didn't even do (which he was able to prove btw) and now the company is SUING HIM??? Fucking deplorable. I hope the rest of them stay safe but they should find a way out of there asap. ATEEZ - WONDERLAND SYMPHONY IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2025 - Yes, scream at me, San! - This was THE Kingdom version! Through and through. Symphony No.9 „From the Wonderland“ - Man, the level of love and obsession I have with this group. Only two others can rival that for me: SHINee and Dreamcatcher. ATEEZ FOR LIFE! Seriously. They are one of those artists that keep me going. Stray Kids. - Do It is just so much fun. - I seriously hope that Lee Know is actually recovered and isn't pushing himself beyond what's healthy. - A Christmas Ceremony 😁 NCT DREAM - Jaemin's smile gets me every time. - Chiller is such a cool song. Pun fully intended. - Jaemin knows exactly what the fuck he just did. Sly bastard. I said it in the DM with the playlist already but this was one of the best Gayos I've seen. It's hard to top SBS Winter 2024, with 2NE1 and GD, but this one is getting close. You just missed one highlight with U-Know's performance but that's fine 😌
