It’s their 1st time shooting overseas, they didn’t know their overseas popularity, that’s why they were so surprised to find many people waiting for them at the airport. Also they mentioned somewhere that this ep was supposed to be the last one due to low domestic ratings. So to see the massive crowd of fans, a warm welcome, it was overwhelming, the show was saved from cancellation back in 2011 :) Thx for the reaction, it’s one of my fav ep 😊

I don’t know if you remember DG. But in Ep.52-53 with Choi Min Soo (the RM hunter), there was a brief mention of Kim Min Jung from this episode and yes, Haha (and lowkey Gary) falling for her really hard here. It’s a peak playboy energy for him there lmao. Yes, it’s their first overseas shoot so they never know how popular they were overseas (even production team). Also, the great reception they got from this trip had increased the rating after that and survived their supposed to be cancellation and became the longest running Korean variety show today. Nichkhun’s younger sister (not the one Haha fell in love), would go on to compete in singing competition/survival show and went on to become a singer/actress too short afterward. The currency for the money isn’t wrong, but you misunderstood. It’s a bag containing 20 Baht bills (700 won) not that the money in the bag worth only 700 won. The actual total amount the white team got at the end was probably around 1 Million won. Anyway, if you are curious about the food in this episode… Yam Woonsen = Spicy glass noodle salad Khao neaw ma muang = Mango sticky rice Khai thot = Fried chicken Moo Ping = Grilled pork/pork skewer Khao pad kra pao moo sub = Stir-fried basil with minced pork Pad Thai…obviously Pad Thai Kuai Teaw = Noodle Pad See Ew = Stir-fried noodles with soy sauce Khao pad nam = Fried rice with sour pork

- Yes, I think it was in Thailand that the Running Man cast really realized how popular the show was outside of South Korea. It hadn't even been airing for a year yet. I think that greatly helped renew the show, even though at that point there was already no doubt. I think the production decided to repeat the experiment in other countries. I've seen episodes in China, Hong Kong, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Australia, Russia, Austria, England, and surely many others that I haven't seen. - The funniest thing is that Kwang-soo, who wasn't the most popular member until now, is as popular as Nichkhun in his own country. - I like Bangkok, but it's really too hot for me in Thailand. Even when I go in February or March, it's always over 30/35 degrees Celsius; it's quite stifling. - Khao San Road is indeed very touristy. There are literally only bars, massage parlors, tailors, nightclubs, and restaurants on that street. - Street food isn't expensive at all. But in regular stores, it's a pain because prices are rarely displayed. Haggling is very common, and for a tourist, it's exhausting to constantly negotiate everything to avoid getting ripped off. - You have time, DG Gary, who isn't part of Running Man anymore, but he was on the show for over 6 years, so more than 325 episodes. We're only on episode 50 XD - K-pop is Korean pop culture, so Running Man is a kind of K-pop. But in 2010, K-pop was spreading steadily across Asia, thanks in particular to 2PM, Girls' Generation, Kara, and Super Junior. So yes, I think you could easily find K-pop fans, or at least people who knew about K-pop. - Lol, I thought Jong Kook was imitating Luffy when he went into Gear 2, not the Tremor XD - The last challenge with Nichkhun's family was really fun and unique (it's the first time an idol has introduced almost their entire family on a show). - But since they were in Thailand, it would have been cool to see challenges related to that country. Like a Muay Thai challenge, taking pictures with a snake in a floating market, or even a challenge on elephant back.

The Koreans write Nichkhun's name as: 닉쿤 [nig-kun] so basically just: ni-koon Blue Kwangsoo? Is the next episode gonna be the birth of Kwangvatar? 😲
