Okay wait, 18:13 minutes in and I just got so hyped let me comment first. XD I am already sooo excited that you got into this anime, and I saw the previous video you posted, then knew about the whole season 2 thing, so I did not watch it and was sooo anticipating for you to drop the "real" season 1. hahahaha Thank you for this and can't wait to have this journey of watching Demon Slayer again with you. I honestly watched this anime many times already and watched other reactors also but you, going into this rabbit hole got me even more hyped! <3

So excited that your finally starting Demon Slayer! Even if you didn't watch the start of season 2 you would have seen all of the main cast on the title screen or in the intro so I don't think it's that big of a deal. I'm sure some people went and saw the movie in theaters before deciding to watch the entire show. When you get back to season 2 I would recommend just watching the movie instead of the episodes. It premiered as a movie and then the following year they chopped it up into episodes to air weekly for the people that didn't see the movie. My understanding is only season 2 episode 1 wasn't in the movie. Oh no you saw that Tanjiro was a demon slayer in season 2 in the show entitled demon slayer big spoiler :) I've watched this a few times already but the first episode when his family gets taken out, Nezuko resisting and protecting him, and the end of episode 3 with Sabito smiling at Tanjiro's success still get me emotional. The season 1 opening by Lisa is great you should listen to the whole thing at some point. But yes the opening has lots of spoilers for season 1 in the visuals. Maybe at the end of season 1 you could throw it on youtube to advertise for the patreon. Master Urokodaki taught him everything he needs to know but Tanjiro just memorized/wrote it down and didn't comprehend/implement any of it. I assume Tanjiro learns by doing so having Makomo walk him through how to do the things the master told him was key. I also would have been lost if I was just told do total concentration breathing and here are the 10 forms.

LET'S GO. I've been meaning to get into this show for so long. For real this time! I believe you won't even have to rewatch those first 3 episodes of S2. Just watch the Mugen Train movie. If I'm understanding things correctly, the movie came out shortly after season 1, and was then later re-edited into the first 7 episodes of season 2. So you can just watch the Mugen Train movie and then jump straight into the Entertainment District Arc. (someone with actual knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong here) - Oh great. Start us off with his sister on the brink of death and then move back to introduce us to his family who will most likely die. Nice one, Demon Slayer. - Yup. This is one thing I unfortunately got spoiled on before watching: that Tanjiro's entire family gets killed by demons. And as soon as old man Saburo said „stay here for the night, there be demons out there“ I knew this was the moment. - And that his sister gets turned into a demon is also something I was spoiled on. - Man, that demon slayer guy sure is a jolly fella. - Ends up giving real good advice tho, gotta admit. And Tanjiro's got potential. - „I WILL PAY YOU FOR THE BASKET AND YOU WILL ACCEPT IT.“ - Ok so the demons are intelligent and capable of speech. That makes it more interesting. I wonder if there's different levels to it, like the cursed spirits from JJK. - What the fuck. - I've seen headshots before but this is ridiculous. - Patreon is being very funny with its video quality again today. Shit's so blurry, I can barely read the subtitles. Is there some way I can contact them and harrass them about adding some fucking manual video quality options? - Classic storytelling right there. Our protagonist starts off too weak to do much of anything but I guarantee you, by the end of all of it, he's gonna be the most powerful of all demon slayers. - Gotta love a good training montage. - A full year passing by in one episode. Damn. - „No matter how you suffer, bear it in silence if you're a man.“ Yeah, that's a fuck no from me, dawg. I will not stand for this kind of toxic masculinity. - Memorisation and actual learning are indeed two different things. - Two entire goddamn years. - So were Sabito and Makomo even real?

- Yes, that's why I didn't look at your reaction last week. When I saw Rengoku in your thumbnail, I thought, "Oh crap," he's going to spoil part of the manga for himself. I don't think you spoiled much for us because I think most of us follow YOUR reactions to shows we've already seen. So, no need to apologize, I think. It's just sad that you saw that. - In any case, welcome aboard this incredible show. Not for its plot, which is fairly classic for a shonen, but for the work of Studio Ufotable, which is simply astounding. What made this show so successful is largely its animation, which is of unparalleled quality. I think even Attack on Titan or many animated films don't reach this level of quality. The arc that most amazed me was undoubtedly the Pleasure District arc, which left me speechless. - Actually, this show doesn't feel like a TV show at all, but more like a 20-minute film; the animation, music, lighting, and acting are really very good. - Tanjiro is the purest and most naive shonen hero I've ever seen. He's somewhat equivalent to a Gun-woo; he's strong, naive, and righteous. - The second episode contains an inconsistency. The mangaka said that if he had the chance, he would revisit the scene of Tankiro and Nezuko's first fight with a demon. Because in the Demon Slayer universe, such a weak demon should die instantly without its head. - And precisely, the intro to episode 3 makes no sense because it says that to kill a demon, you need either sunlight or to decapitate it. That's exactly what Nezuko did. It doesn't specify how to decapitate her: with a sword, a rope, the edge of her hand, or in this specific case, a kick from Nezuko. Regarding this inconsistency, the mangaka later stated that decapitation with a Demon Slayer sword instantly kills all demons except for a tiny shadow of them.

Thanks for your reaction, just wondering, are you not gonna start infinite challenge this week ? 😶

Daniel Goland

I mentioned that I'll take a week of a break in between game Caterers and infinite challenge, so it's gonna be this upcoming week :)
