I thought you were gonna do these separately 😅😅

So the thing with Ado is, I'm pretty sure her set was never even recorded or streamed in any way. She has a VERY strict 'no filming' policy at her own concerts to protect her anonymity. And I can imagine that she extends this to her festival appearances.

SB19 - I mean yeah, basically me. I'm here for i-dle and aespa mostly but since you're doing it all in one video, might as well, right? Though this is not my first time with SB19, I also watched your ACON reaction back in December. - Yeah, the audio is rough. - I like their grit and intensity a lot. - And I love seeing how much the crowd is into it. - They performed at 3:30 in the afternoon. Still pretty damn hot. I would not want to be in these outfits 😅 - Camera operators seem to be a bit confused at times 😶 - As soon as you said „hold up“ I knew immediately you'd bust out the lighter 😂 - Lollapalooza has been around since 1991. You'd think that in 35 years they'd have their shit figured out on the technical side but nope... - Alright, the Chicago Bull has some moves, I see you 👀 - Damn amazing! If only I could actually find the time to really get into them. Alright, I'm tired, I'll keep watching tomorrow.

i-dle - The fits are crazy. - THIS is how you open a fucking festival stage! - Why did they perform at 2:40 in the afternoon? This needs to be in the dark! - No, it was actually raining there. Soyeon also talked about it in her Lolla vlog. - „If they perform one K/DA song I'm gonna lose my shit“ 😀😀😀 - The arrangements are so crazy, dude. - I don't even have anything notable to say. I'm just sitting here in awe of their beauty and their sound. - I like to imagine some randos who have never heard of i-dle walking by while they're up there singing about cream soup that tastes coco loco 🤠 - There it is! The song that brought me to this entire genre. Popstars is a fixed point in their live setlists too. I saw them perform it at their EU tour three years ago. - The only thing that would have made this even better would be Put It Straight. The Nightmare Version from Queendom. They did that at the 2023 tour and it was one of the most cinematic and immersive live concert experiences I've ever had. Then again, it probably doesn't work as well in broad daylight, so I can understand why they didn't do it here. - Since they cancelled their NA tour (kinda self inflicted, of course they couldn't sell enough tickets at the stupid prices they were asking), this was now their only American performance this year. And honestly one of the best festival performances I've seen from a kpop act.

CORTIS - That DJ is having a bit too much fun 😅 - I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Cortis (I straight up don't like half of their discography) but I cannot deny their energy and stage presence. - Their new song Motion features Juicy J. Cool that they could get him on stage for this! - Holy shit. I hadn't heard Mention Me before because I usually don't pay much attention to OSTs. But that might become my favourite song of theirs. - And for what it's worth, even the songs I don't like (like Acai and TNT) work a lot better in this live festival setting.

JENNIE - I'm going into this with lowered expectations. I've read quite a few reports about her low energy and overuse of lip sync in this one. Which unfortunately is not too uncommon for Jennie. - That is quite the entrance tho - Definitely the biggest production out of everyone here. - Yeah, especially on Mantra it's quite obivous. The live vocals are minimal. A shame. - ZEN was MONUMENTAL tho. The arrangement, holy shit. I'm so glad that she included it here since she didn't perform it at most of the other festivals she attended this year. - Sweet Tooth and Fallen Angel were completely new at Lolla. Lock it Down and Heaven are the ones you heard at GovBall. - Is that the Band Six who are playing with her? - Ooh, Heaven is damn good! That's my fav from the unreleased ones. This is pretty much what I expected, based on the reports. Decent show but her vocal performance leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not even talking about the songs with really intense choreo but also the ones where she doesn't move around too much. I can barely hear her actual voice in most of the songs, and this is just not the level that an industry veteran of her status should be at. It's a damn shame because her music is fucking amazing. Ruby is right up there with Nmixx's Blue Valentine as one of the best kpop albums of 2025. Jennie has 10 years of experience, is a member of the most popular kpop girl group of all time, and this is the kind of live singing (or lack thereof) that she's presenting us? I expect better from someone in her position.

aespa - Black Mamba was their debut. - Mics are a bit quiet but they ARE singing live! Which is also something they've been criticised for, the lack of actual live vocals. That was definitely an issue at their last concert I attended myself. Low energy and lipsync. But that seems not to be the case here, which is great to see. - Oh that's a proper ROCK version of Next Level! - The outfits are insane, man. Rarely have they ever looked THIS good. - aespa going a bit country with Can't Help Myself 🤠 - If they seem a bit touchy, let me just mention that Karina and Winter recently moved in together. Make of that what you will 😇 - An NCT charm you say? Well, I've said from the beginning that aespa is pretty much an honorary NCT unit 😄 - Man, that live band gives Armageddon such a good little extra kick. - WDA is so hard. - WHAT is that Supernova remix?? 😵 - Switchblade might actually be my favourite aespa song right now. Top 5 at least. Fucking amazing. Getting Ty$ on stage too. - Shakin' was featured in the Complaexity Trailer that you reacted to. - Let's play Tetris! - Oh fuck, the concert remix of Hold On Tight. They also did that at the tour last year. Absolute fucking insanity. - Finishing off with proper cvnt on Whiplash and Lemonade. We stan. - I've seen so many angles of Winter's body shake on Lemonade. My social media feed was just full of it 😅 - I just gotta appreciate Karina here. On her absolute A-game on this stage. Amazing. And Winter is as hot as the summer heatwaves I've had to suffer through this year. Yeah, aespa is without a doubt my favourite of the Lollapalooza performances this year. Though i-dle comes in in a very strong 2nd place. Amazing showing. Cannot wait for the aespa concert in January. The setlist is elite, it's gonna be amazing!

I guess I can use this space to share my Lollapalooza Spotify playlist again: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2rqDPpfk3bj1d3wSPiNQZ0 This includes every single setlist from every Asian artist at every Lollapalooza since 2022. The 2026 ones are at the bottom of the playlist. And I also included Yoasobi and Ado :) And one more thing: Daniel, I honestly think that releasing this entire thing in one video was not the best move. I've seen you lamenting over the low engagement on this one. If I were to guess, people just got absolutely slapped in the face with a FIVE HOUR video. First of all, that's intimidating af, and second, no one has time for that. Look at me, it took me like three days to finish this entire thing. If you had uploaded each performance as its own video, the engagements on those videos would have been a lot better. I'm sure of it.

Daniel Goland

Yeah, I shouldn't second guessed myself and relased these as I wanted to, a 5 part reaction, but, oh well, I'd say you live and laern, but chances are I'd do the same mistake again lmao
