Marcel Wannieck

So all I've seen from the Punisher so far are his appearances in Daredevil S2 and this movie right here. I am trying to work my way through the shows but there's so much, dude, and I'm also two months behind on YOUR content on top of that 🥴 From what little I've seen, I do love Jon Bernthal in the role. Ahh damn. Big shame that you got the Sadie Sink reveal spoiled. That was a genuine HOLY SHIT moment for me when I watched this movie in the cinema. The trailers and promotional material did not reveal the name of her character. You were not supposed to know who this is before you watched it. - A lot of actual comic cover images being recreated in this villain montage. - This is just sad, man. Watching your friends, who don't even remember you anymore, go all the way through MIT while you are just all by yourself for years. - Spidey is definitely the kind of person who would end up seeing... interesting... Fanart about himself online 😬 - Yelena is just one of the best characters in the MCU, full stop. - So funny, I'm currently on Iron Fist S1, where the Hand are presented as this ultra menacing secretive shadow organisation and here they just are, out in the open 😅 - You know what's extra sad about Peter seeing this? The guy MJ is with actually seems like a really decent dude. Like she's actually doing completely fine without Peter. And that just stings. At least the comic version of that guy was horrible but I can't even hate the movie version of him. - Weird sticky white stuff coming out of you. Hmmm - Spider taking over the Man. - „Why didn't Thanos just make more food?“ Idk, maybe because he was stupid and evil and genocidal was just looking for an excuse to mass murder half of the universe because he loves genocide 🧐 - Yeah, that janitor just got mind controlled into oncoming traffic. - The kiss scene is just brutal, knowing that's not really MJ. - Ever since TASM2 I get so anxious whenever Spidey's GF falls from a great height. - Damn those mind controlling French! - lemmetellyasomn - There it is, the moment I lost my shit in the theatre seat. Seeing the the name JEAN GREY on the screen there. - Never seen Stranger Things either. I didn't even know who Sadie Sink was before this movie. I just freaked out over Jean Grey being in this movie. - That OH SHIT from Frank at the Hulk is just perfect 😂 - There he is. Smart Hulk was fun for a little while but it's good to finally have the real deal back on screen 💪🏻 - Whaaat? You don't trust the shady government organisation that's collecting all kinds of dangerous tech? No way. - Hitting it off immediately, even though Ned doesn't remember Peter at all. You can tell why they were best friends. - I do appreciate this a lot. Peter telling MJ about the possessed kiss and apologizing. Good man. - Sara Grey is a real character from the comics. Jean's deceased sister. But she was only in a very small number of comics and this is the first time she's ever been referenced in a movie. The comic version was also just an ordinary person without any powers. - The director of this movie has indeed taken a lot of inspiration from the games for the fight scenes. Really cool stuff. - V-Max being teased as this big important thing when it's literally just the aircon there - And this is why you don't mess with Jean Grey. Have these people not watched any of the X-Men movies? Well, The Last Stand and Dark Phoenix are kinda dogshit so I don't blame them 🤠 - As sympathetic as I am towards Jean and the situation with her sister, she definitely handled this extremely badly. If she had just come to Spider-Man and explained everything, I'm certain he would have helped her in a heartbeat. But instead she decided to mentally torment him for days on end, doing that whole thing with MJ. Got a completely innocent civillian run over by a car for absolutely no good reason. And now basically holding a whole borough of the city hostage. Jean Grey may be a victim but she's not a good person either. Not yet. I guess this is what happens when a Jean Grey emerges without a Professor X around to guide her. - There was a moment when I thought we might actually lose Peter here. I mean, he also is not confirmed to appear in Doomsday so it was a real possibility in my mind. - I like that Peter doesn't resent Frank for taking that shot. Frank saw an immediate danger to thousands of people and went to resolve it as quickly as possible. Peter knows that there was no way Frank could have known what he was doing in there to get Jean to stop. Both of them just did the best they could to save the people around. - Spider-Frank! This might honestly be my favourite live-action Spider-Man. Spider-Verse still ranks supreme above all else but man, in terms of stories focused on Peter Parker, it doesn't get much better than this. Loved the interactions with Frank, we've got a really interesting version of Jean Grey and it's just a brilliant exampe of the human relatability of Spider-Man. I'm very interested to see how this Jean Grey evolves in the upcoming MCU X-Men movie. How/if she'll be redeemed. And if they can eventually maybe do the Dark Phoenix storyline actual justice. Without rushing it there. Would be nice. Now then. I've gotta get back on Iron Fist. I have a bunch of shows and movies to catch up on before Doomsday.
