Perhaps you're familiar with the internet meme that is Ctrl+Alt+Del's "Loss" If you're not then we may come from different parts of the internet or a different generation from one another. The comic initially was a tonal shift in that webcomic and considered by many to be poorly executed that effectively jumped the shark and led to a lot of criticism of the artist. Since then it's been prolific across the internet, with virtually every webcomic poking fun at the trope in their own way, usually by copying the simple style of the comic, with a single character in the first panel, a standing character addressing a seated character in the second panel, two standing characters in the third panel, and a standing and a horizontal character in the last panel. This comic is my attempt to do MY take on it, but I also do so a bit tongue in cheek because its a very old and tired joke so many people grow weary of it. Cliff is one of those people, and so in his attempt to break the forth wall and stop the madness, he ends up gracefully tripping and injuring himself, simultaneously preventing the third panel from matching the format, and making the fourth panel match the format inadvertently. This one isn't going to win any awards, but hopefully it gives you a chuckle if you're one of us chronically online types. And if not hopefully you can at least enjoy the extra Buddy cameo. He's looking cute snuggled up on the couch, entirely unimpressed with Cliff's antics at this point.

Is Buddy a good boy? Yes he is. He didn’t run out the door looking for more butterflies to chomp.

He gets all the scratches! And those butterflies better WATCH OUT.

To be fair, although they're not memes it's interesting how the Dinosaur Comics using the same 6 panels, or the CBU Dad Jokes (with true form Chéri and Záchari) fanfics work so well.
