Can we share bad Photos? Has Social Media ruined us?

This is a video about anxiety and social pressure in photography on social media. Are we still ok with bad photos? Are normal bodies, normal situations and normal moments still ok to share? Does everything have to be perfect before it can be shared with the world? This is going to be an ongoing issue as we move forward as people and photographers. People have a real tendency toward black & white thinking. Something is good or bad, nice or nasty….. I tend to split my photographic thinking into sections. Photography, photographic art and snapshots. Photography is the bit where I try to get an accurate depiction in a pleasing image (wildlife, architecture landscape etc.). Photographic art involves manipulating images to get an effect or emotion (May or may not be composites). Snapshots capture a moment that means something personal. Of course these categories are fluid but let’s not get hung up on rigid thinking. Do what you enjoy, enjoy what you do.

Yes, totally agree. Photography and also taste are always changing and evolving. Even back in the early days of photography there have been photographers that have been ignored by the public and couldn't sell their works, but are celebrated photographers today.
