Draka:  6533 words

Splinter Angel:  2882 words

Week of 29/7 - 4/8

Draka:  6327 words

Splinter Angel:  4136 words

An honest to goodness sideproject that I'm kind of sticking to 22/7 - 4/8:

9099 words

Currently working on

Draka: Chapter 165

Splinter Angel: Chapter 49

--------------------------------------------------------

Well! I averaged about 15k words per week these last two, so that feels pretty good. Some of that is the honeymoon period that comes with finding a new project that sticks with me, but still!

Draka is still coming along nicely. You'd think that one might burn out on a story after 500k+ words, but nope. I think I have Splinter Angel and my various side projects to thank for that. I will tell you, though, those of you who read these posts: I don't want Draka to be an eternity project. I love reading long series, but I plan for Book 4 to round off the story for now, so that I can focus on new projects. That means that Draka should come in at around 200-210 chapters and 650-700k words in total when the story is done.

Someone asked me these last few days why I'm not releasing Splinter Angel on RR, so I'll quickly address that. I am planning to release Splinter Angel. The reason I haven't is because I'm being too precious about it, and I want to give it an editing pass to polish it, and I just haven't been willing to shift the necessary writing and editing time. I also need a cover which is more time so... yeah. But it will come to RR one of these days.

I'd also like to tell you a little about that new side-project I've been working on. At the moment the document name is Izzy, Goblin Queen Of The World Or At Least A Bit Of It, which is a bit of a mouthful and needs replacing with something better. Or maybe not; it stands out if nothing else. It's not isekai! Crazy! It is GameLit/LitRPG, though, with classes and quests and everything. The MC is an aura (a wind nymph, basically) who through no fault of her own gets bound into the body of a hapless goblin shaman, and who's determined to make the most of it, despite being in the backlash to a goblin migration. The tone is much more light-hearted than Draka or Angel; it's closer to Starmind (which I keep glancing at. One day...) than anything. I'm also going for shorter chapters of 2000-2200 words or so. It's been great fun to write so far, and you should see the first chapter go up... not sure. Next week, maybe? If you've read this far and have a preference for a day of the week to have another semi-regular story, feel free to comment!

Thanks for reading!
