Our Hectic Move to California (Patreon)

Plans don't always go according to plan. Things have been hectic, overwhelming, and incredible all at the same time. We're settling into a new life on the west coast and have a lot of hope for the future.

The Good:

We finished everything with our aunt and uncle's final affairs, at least all that could be done by us. 

In anticipation of finishing the final affairs, we launched our plan to move to LA so we could live with both of our herm spouses: Sarahvixen and Akikotigress.

Sarahvixen's work transfer went through and though we had to move quickly afterwards, we managed to make it to LA safely with all our important belongings.

We live in a wonderful area where we can easily get ingredients for just about any cuisine in the world. Though going out to eat is rather expensive, groceries are actually pretty cheap in the area we live. The weather in the area we live tends to be about five to ten degrees cooler than elsewhere in LA and it cools down every night very reliably.

Akikotigress finished her audio engineering degree and got a job as a tech at a huge studio that many top forty artists frequent.

The Complicated:

Nothing about the move went according to plan and a couple things involving our aunt and uncle's final affairs (family drama that gave us multiple anxiety attacks) happened during it. The number of things that went wrong was overwhelming and we're still recovering from the stress of it all.

The apartment we're in is nice and the owners are on top of things, but the apartment we got has many issues that the previous tenants never told the administrators about. We're having to coordinate with the maintenance team and have our life disrupted frequently.

The number of repressed memories we've had to deal with is immense and we've made it to 99 alters. Our childhood was even more traumatic than we realized and there's a darkness in us that we're having to expel through tears and wails of sorrow. It's been really challenging to keep our life going in the midst of all this, especially since we can't choose when we split and/or remember repressed things. 

The movie Nimona hits us like a sledgehammer because we spent most of our childhood being treated like we were an unwanted, disabled being that was an inconvenience to everyone around us while also being extremely smart and athletic. Being abandoned and abused was the norm to the point that we learned to expect both no matter what we did. We eventually came to the conclusion that we were a monster. Our memory is so clear and thorough that we couldn't survive without locking a lot of it away when we were little (this caused a lot of internal pressure and oh-so-many-splits). Only now have we truly started to fully face these feelings and memories fully. It's been grueling and happening in the middle of us trying to move and set up our new apartment.

Now that we can feel and process all this while having two wonderful girls who can make sure we stay safe and healthy, we've been getting through things we thought we'd never be able to face. Before, we kinda shielded ourselves while watching Nimona, but this time we were able to bring down our shield and cry as much as we needed to. Sometimes, we didn't even make it thirty seconds further before having another breakdown. After ten breakdowns, we finally made it. We hope to someday be able to watch that film all the way through without breaking down and we're going to keep working to that end. 

We don't want our past to dim our future, so we will keep facing our trauma and working through all the memories, emotions, and other things that have haunted us our entire life. There's a fountain of creativity in us that we are excited to fully unlock and share with y'all.

The Exciting:

Although the number of alters in our system is intimidating, we've unlocked a lot of kinks we've never written before. Some of it y'all have already seen, but there's a bunch more we're going to be diving into as we go forward. We're betting this will lead to some interesting polls, and stories, in the not-so-distant future.

Due to Akikotigress's skillset, we've been able to put together a professional-grade home studio for far less than it would normally cost. In many cases, she bought the parts for normally-very-expensive audio gear and put them together herself. In addition, we've always had a knack for voice acting, acoustics and other audio-related stuff. So much so that Akikotigress calls us her second engineer. We're pretty sure this will allow us to produce audio porn content that is higher quality and more inventive than anything out there. Sure, we've got stuff to learn still, but we are inspired and motivated. We've wanted to launch this for a long time and we're excited to be this close.

Due to us no longer having to plan for unexpected expenses related to our aunt and uncle's final affairs, we're going to be able to get more herm art for y'all. We've got some plans involving this that we'll start launching (and having y'all vote on) after a bit more work on our home studio.

We wouldn't have been able to keep creating stuff without y'all. We really appreciate the support and we're looking forward to making a lot more stuff for y'all to enjoy in the second half of this year.
