ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Hello everybunny! It's time for a new post of our favourite lizard. Today we'll show you how we've worked on the body pattern >w<

We were honestly really lost with this pattern. We've made sitting quadrupeds before, like Sprigatito. But it's been years since we made this exact pose. Since the Zeru plush! We wanted to achieve several things with this pattern. First, that it was stable. Second, that it had a nice curve on the belly and back. And third and most important, that his hands and feet were adorable and with personality.

We started making the body tests, and we needed like 5 or 6 patterns to get a body base we liked. After that, we made the legs and drew the arms on paper to see how would everything together look. We used the first embroidery test head for this part as we don't want the final head to get dirty. This is why we always recommend to keep previous tests when patterning, so you can use them during the process!

Once we had a body we liked, we sewed the arms and they turned out perfect at first try, so we could start working on the feet. These needed a bt more work, since we didn't want them to be a flat 2D piece. We wanted them to be curled like in the design. Like the fingers were folded, without it being a super complex pattern. We made 4 tests with different proportions until we got one we liked. The pose looks very natural ^^

With all this, the body prototype is done! We're IN LOVE with how adorable it's turning out. We want to make some changes to the legs and body patterns, but we'l make that directly on the final body.

Now we'll work on the last details; the tail and hoodie. What do you think so far? Is it as cute as you expected? We hope so!

----ESPAÑOL----

Hello everybunny!
