ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Hello everybunny!Today's post is about something we are REALLY excited to show.

As you know, we recently got a 3D printer. The main reason we got it is because we want to get into fursuit making. So after a few basic test prints and learning how the printer works, we got into making our first fursuit head!!! >w<

For that, we have been investigating and preparing well. We have looked at different head styles people make, how they work on the shapes, curves, how they make cheeks and eyes, the jaw joint... There's many things to keep in mind! It's not just making a 3D model. You have to keep in mind that someone will be wearing it and that it will be covered in faux fur.

After researching and preparing, we started modeling with Jonkhan Dee, a friend who is with whom we'll be working with, specially at the beginning, for 3D modeling. He's been modeling for many years, so he is teaching us a lot and, at the same time, we teach him details and things to keep in mind when bringing fabric designs to the world.

After several nights on Discord calls working on the model, here's our first fursuit base model!!! We love it!! IT needed a lot of love and changes to slowly get the shape we were looking for. Again, it's not just tracing the drawing, we had to keep in mind all the important parts to make a fursuit head.The ears and hair are just placeholders on the model to have a better idea of how it will look like when we make them with foam and fabric.

To explain things a bit, we have tried to make both the eyes and chin to match the wearer's head. This way, the person will have good vision and will be able to open and close the mouth. We have also put extra care into the muzzle curves, the cheekbones and eyebrows so that, when we cover them in fur, they will still be visible, without being too prominent. although we won't know how this turns out until we cover it with faux fur and shave it.

On the other hand, we have made the mouth in a way that it will have gums and teeth inside, that will match and a couple upper fangs will stick out.

It will probably need some changes when we print it and see how it actually looks. but for being our first base from scratch, we are VERY proud ;____;

We will soon show you how this project is going, but remember that this is a personal project we do on our free time, it's not an actual commission, so we will go slower than with plushies. Anyway, we won't lie, we've been sleeping a bit less these days because we're hyped to work on this hahaha

What do you think? Do you think it's looking good? Do you want to see it printed? We would love to know what you think about this project!

----ESPAÑOL----

Hello everybunny!

Seguramente va a necesitar algún ajuste más cuando lo imprimamos y veamos realmente como queda. Pero para ser nuestra primera base real de cero, estamos MUY orgullosas ;______;
