Finished Tama and Koko prototype plushies - Sword of the Necromancer (Patreon)

ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL
Hello everybunny! We can finally show the SOTN girls finished!
The truth is that they were pretty complicated plushies to make. Humans are usually fast to make, but they took way longer. First, because they were smaller, we had to make the patterns from scratch. And making the clothes and hair was more tedious, because we had to hand sew many parts or resew them because they didn't turn out well. For example, we had to make a dress with different layers and a cape, everything in miniature size.On the other hand, the plushies were going to be made of printed fabric at first. That meant that almost all the details were drawn on the fabric, but after many tests and fabric orders, we decided to make everything with emboirdery or sewing the colour changes ourselves to assure the best quality. All this meant more tiny details to work on, and more time. We also had to repeat several pieces more than once because we had issues with the colours of the references we were given. It turned out that the illustrator had put a brown layer over the reference sheets and that was why the colours we used were wrong. We luckily had the fabrics and could repeat them without problems.
But not everything is problems with these plushies! To be honest, despite all the inconviniencies, we're very happy with the result. They look clean and the details are easily appreciated. We love how Tama's belt and boots look like, for example. Also, it's a new human pattern we can add to our portfolio. And the embroidery is really cool, with their little expressions. It's our favorite humanoid face embroidery. It really shows when you're comfortable with your tools hehe. Tama and Koko are unique plushies regarding their finishing and details.
And now that we showed you the finished prototypes, we have to talk about one last thing. In the past days we've been a bit busy because we've been talking to Grimorio of Games about their game's kickstarter campaign. At first, they ordered us to make around 40 plushies in total of the girls, and we later agreed on making up to 60 in total. It was a big amount of plushies but with the time and price we agreed we could make them. But when we showed them the finished prototypes and started to talk about payments and schedules, they told us that they had let the option to add plushies as add ons on the KS reward open without control and they had sold literally twice the amount agreed. With that, and having in mind the amount of hours each plush takes, they've decided that the Kickstarter plushies will be factory made to assure they will have the plushies on time without having to delay or cancel any order. We feel bad because we were really excited to make these plushies, but we just can't make double the amount of plushies in the same time. We had already organized ourselves to make a certain amount of units.
But don't worry! To make sure the quality of the plushies they will send to backers is good, they asked us to be in charge of looking for a factory to will make the plushies and contact them. They will use our prototypes and patterns as a base, and we will be present in all the production stages for a quality control. We already did this in the past with the Melbits plushies (if you remember, a couple months ago we made some more of them). They commissioned us to make the prototypes and then sent the patterns to a factory for producing a bigger quantity. So there shouldn't be any problem because if some plushie arrives with something wrong, we can fix it. We'll do our best in order to people recieve a good plush ^^
With that said, we wanted to tell you that we're collaborating with another indie game company, but it's a secret project for now so we can't say or show anything yet, sorry. But we think about it and it's still hard to believe that we've worked for so many different ones and we hope that all of them were happy with our results :)
