ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Happy weekend everybunny!Today we are full of energy anf excited to show twhat we are working on.First, we want to announce that, except for glueing their fringe, all the Tamas from the first batch of SOTN plushies are done. So, to take a small break from them before we start with the Kokos, we will work a couple days on commissions and Patreon content ^^

You'll probably have already seen the news about the upcoming Animal Crossing updates. Just the perfect time to get back to our mini squirrels! Today we started designing their clothe embroideries, which is rather complex and unique in each of them. We've decided to start with Static because we consider his jacket is the more difficult one.He wears the dragon jacket, which is black and yellow, with clouds in the front and a big detailed dragon in he back. At first, we wanted to make the full embroidery with all its details. But we realised that we had barely 3.5 cm to work on so it was impossible to make the full design. We decided to remove the word "japan" and leave the full dragon. But it was still so small that when we tested the embroidery, it looked cramped and shapeless, it wasn't pretty. So at the end we decided to also remove the dragon's body and one cloud, leaving only the head, claws and a couple of clouds and flames, and enlarge them. It still looked emblematic and cool. We still had to simplify the design a bit, because most embroidery machines can't do such small stitches. We hope that one day someone commissions us a 30cm Static so we can make all the details of his jacket, because it's a shame we had to simplify it. But we have to be aware of the size limits >___<

Once we made the final embroidery design, we started making the embroidery, with the right fabric and colours. And we got really scared because the embroidery turned out terrible, with very low tension, missed stitches... We cleaned the machine and threaded it again, but the result was the same. We were sure that we would have to send it to repair, but we thought on trying the embroidery with a different thread, just in case. And, of course, with other threads it worked just perfect. So apparently what was wrong was the thread. We are going to use a different yellow, which isn't the one we wanted to use but it still looks very good! And well, we just want to remind you that you should always try to thread the machine again, or use a different thread, before changing an embroidery design. Because sometimes your embroidery design is alright and the error comes from somewhere else^^

Here are some pics with the embroidery design process, and all the wrong tests we talked about. We should be able to show the embroidery finished in a few days :D

Do you like how it's going? Do you think it will turn out okay?
