ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL
Hello everybunny! First of all, sorry for not posting anything these days. Since we lost time when our sewing machine broke, we had few time and wanted to focus on finishing Quaxly on time for the game launch. So today we're posting both the WIPs and the photoshoot of the finished plush, which looks adorable!
After the first hairstyle test, we made 2 or 3 more tests, where we widened the front part. It was difficult to make without deforming the curve from the side.At the end, after the changes on the hair, we scaled the head down, because we saw that, if we didn't do it, the plush would turn out way bigger than the other 2 starters. We were surprised in how fast we could get such a difficult pattern hahaha, but after many years patterning, we've learned to spot mistakes quickly.
Once the prototype was done, we worked on the embroidery. We made both the hair, eyes and beak designs. The first test already looked adorable, but the iris was too big and rotated, and the W of the hair was too big. So we made a few adjustments and with the second embroidery test, we nailed it :DWith the head done, we could start working on the body. It was completely plain so we did the tests directly on white and blue fabric to save time. And after some hours, we got the body base. And the final part was making the legs and wings. We were sure that we wanted to make a 3D effect on the feet, so we made an external seam for the membrane. Finally, we worked on the wings. We wanted to make them posable at first, but with the thicnkess and shape of the wing, we weren't convinced of the result. So we decided to make them in Quaxly's iconic pose.
Now that he's finished 100%, we can say we're very proud that we could make it. Having the 3 starters done before the release was great! Though we have to say that in order to finish Quaxly on time, we worked many extra hours for a few days, working after past mindnight. And, luckily, Quaxly was the most simple out of the 3. Once the hair was done, the rest wasn't so difficult. We honestly didn't think we could make it, but we had some luck.
Since the plushies are finished, we will focus on finishing their sewing instructions. We will make Fuecoco's first, which should be available this week. and after that we'll make Quaxly's, which we want to finish before the month ends.
as always, thank you so much for your support, we hope you enjoy these patterns. For us, it's been an amazing project.

Hello everybunny!
