In 6 days we'll only be 1/8th of the way through Trump's 1st term as President. Can we please get a Labor Party together or what? I am totally over this 2 party system and if we don't all get behind a Labor Party strategy we're all going to get a 2nd term of Trump. Adios, America.

It's a waste of time unless we change the electoral laws. We have a first past the post system, in which the party with the most votes wins everything, which naturally gives rise to two-party systems -- we're on our sixth such system. We're better off changing the Dems from within and working on third parties on the local level.

Labor still wants to build pipelines, at least some of them do. They are far from unified.

Labor in the U.S. is not united. As a former member of the Northbay Labor Council, I can tell you that the building trades, police and fire associations, and public sector unions are very different animals. Labor has a Left and a Right wing.
