Hey Patreons! Starting on a personal note for the brief: I've been thinking about the legacy issues of inequality and life pressures. I'm hunting for a new apartment in NYC, never a fun process. At the same time I have a close family member who lives in the severe economic margin, which impacts everyone else in the family. Anyway, all to say that my work and what I'm working towards in politics hits very close to home (no pun intended for me), and I think I'll be a bit more personally open with you guys from time to time moving forward. Here's what I'm reading today and see you like tomorrow at 7 for the show!

I have tons of friends in Brooklyn, I can ask around if you need a room. No credit check. I'll read this shit after I get some beer.

Also, thanks for the links! I'm thinking a lot about what the trickle down is/means for states as precedents are set by courts, bills that pass, etc.. The power and influence precedents have over our political and legal systems, our communities, nation and globe. I wish there was a wider understanding about what these precedents mean and what we have the ability to change earlier in the process. I onder if you could speak to this at some point? Thanks for all you do!

P.S. DO NOT RENT FROM BRIAN ELGART. Easily the worst landlord in B'lyn.

I'm back! I'm choosing you over Amazon prime so Bezos will have one less 10$ bill to wipe his ass with. Prime video sucks anyway. Not schooled in politics but you do a good job scraping through all the bullshit in Washington. NOI Obama is calling me back lol.

An old guy, and I'll be dead soon . Hopefully (actually no such word as that) after our current POTUS with the comb-over. So what's next to right the ship? Just heard your interview about the Russian revolution. That's what it's going to take, but I don't think we're up to it.

We will keep pushing. We need to act and see if we can intervene in history. But, I get the bleakness

Just joined today. I think plugging in is a way to deal with all this. I grew up in rural MN building hog barns with my dad and 2 bros. He's now trying to stay afloat in a sea of medical debt due to his grueling job. My mom didn't 'work' according to the government (although we 3 sons would disagree) and has money troubles. My brother and his fam are on and off food stamps. My youngest brother fights depression so deep that he is doing shock therapy, no shit, shock therapy. The first thing I plugged into was the IWW in MN. We were countering nazis in Duluth (a working-class town on Lake Superior) and organizing Jimmy Johns workers in Minneapolis. I finally felt good about something I was doing in life. Shortly after, I became a Montessori teacher at the Montessori school where Philando C would later work. Montessori education shows the possibility of change in society. (No surprise that the nazis closed all Montessori schools in Germany in '33.) So it was natural to join! TMBS is history, current struggles, political issues, how-to, and why. And funny. Very funny. Thanks, Michael!
