I had to drop in a WELL ACTUALLY about the Qatar world cup - they have rescheduled the whole world cup just so the climate will be reasonable for the players, throwing a logistical wrench in all the other cups/leagues. And the issues with world cup infrastructure will only get worse, since starting in 2026 they are expanding the number of participating countries from 32 to 48. The politics of the humanitarian/labor issues will change a little too because there will be higher standards for existing infrastructure to accommodate the extra games, so most countries won't be able to handle that amount of games/people on their own and we will see more joint bids.
