Brooksey, don't be so glum about Samantha's influence over the years. The efforts you put into "converting" libertarians and IDW folks is part of a rachet effect, they will likely not revert back. On the other hand, the trajectory from Clinton to Bush to Obama is on a totally different level and dynamic and is properly seen, I think, as a different sort of rachet, it is the dying gasp of neoliberalism heading ever faster towards a cliff. It's a one-time rachet from which there will be no going back, but it's gonna take a a while to turn that one.
