Good show, Michael. I am relatively new to your show, and Patreon. I don’t always have time to check out all the content...what I have seen/ heard is great so far.

One thing about “spartan socialism vs. abundance” that comes to mind is waste, and the impact on the environment. Thrift stores are awesome, and fun, and if you get out to the ones closest to wealthy neighbourhoods you can find awesome stuff for way less $...nobody can tell that’s where you got it if you have good taste ;) Trading stuff for other stuff...that’s also fun. I guess what I am saying is you don’t always have to go out and buy new stuff and support big corporations to have abundance, and you don’t have to live a sparse lifestyle either, to be a socialist.... another point or suggestion...I am getting so tired of arguing with libertarians. They have no plan, nothin’ but a vague idea about “personal freedom” will save the world. Libertarianism leads to social breakdown...lord of the flies insanity. Maybe you could do a segment, or have someone on to discuss positive liberty vs negative liberty?

I just point out to them how making a small corrupt gov. out of a big corrupt gov. actually addresses the problem . All you end up doing is making it cheaper for the people that do the corrupting. I compare it to someone being hit over the head with a club and getting mad at the club instead of the person swinging it. It's not only gov. that can steal our freedoms.

Hey Michael Brooks, I'm glad you mentioned the Pentagon/Hollywood relationship. You should get Dr Matthew Alford and Tom Secker on your show! They authored the book "National Security Cinema".

Ppl should care how their shoes, clothes, coffee, chocolate et. ate made and if they are ethical companies. Ppl downplay how much our dollar can change things. Corporations don't care about anything besides the bottom line..money. it's not moral grandstanding it's pretty much common sense and with the internet it's not hard to figure out what and who these companies are hurting.
