This week I have pulled a lecture by Michael Parenti on the privatization of the commons, and the commodification of the world. In this lecture, Parenti examines what gives 'value' to commodities, the accumulation of wealth, and how this process is at work throughout our society.

Michael Parenti is an American political science and author, who still gives talks around the country today. He is the author of multiple books with subjects covering class society, Ancient Rome, and American empire.
