You have to travel to India to really see how the Dalit live and witness the everyday evil of the Caste system. There is nothing culturally redeeming or culturally relativistically "ok" about it. I knew this intellectually before living in India, and people can get the rough picture from Wikipedia or any of a dozen histories of India or even many novels (often better pictures than encyclopedias), and that really *should be sufficient*. But visiting the people and living with them *not as a tourist* is something raw and marks you for life. So yeah, "F Jimmy Dore" on this. The shocking thing is how he revealed his lack of empathy for humanity along with his ignorance. Yeah Jimmy, it's bad growing up as a poor kid in the USA but you are still going to get a better life materially and spiritually (even under capitalism!) than a Dalit child in India.

As well as roasting Greenspan, I'd love it if you guys could invite Steve Keen on TMBS to do a deep dive into exactly how neoclassical econs got the entire world view wrong for over 40 years (longer if you extend back to Hayek and the pre-Keynesian classical economics era). Bernie was right in attacking Greenspan, but Bernie always seems to need to use emotive and instinctual arguments based on his observation of "real people", which to me is valid, but cannot slice through the entrenched grey matter of a neoclassical ideologues like Greenspan or Bernanke or Krugman (and yeah, sadly Krugman is as delusional as the neoliberals despite being basically neo-Keynesian). Several TMBS guests have had excellent valid moral and structural critiques of capitalism and neoliberal politics, but I cannot recall you guys ever hearing from someone as sharp as Steve Keen on raw economics questions. I would recommend inviting Keen on TMBS also because he seems like a "we can fix capitalism" kind of dude (he would advocate debt jubilee for households, much like Michael Hudson), and yet he is a true leftie and vehemently opposed to neoliberalism, so he would be ripe for education on socialism. You could have a pretty good discussion with him. He knows Marx as well as he knows Minsky and Shumpeter (a dude who saw the inevitable replacement of capitalism by socialism, though by different mechanics to Marx). Actually, while I think about it, why not have Hudson on TMBS too, maybe along with Wolff? That'd give Griscom some real cause for learning some Aikido.
