Once you get a Job Guarantee, since the Federal government is the monopoly issuer of money, it will set the Job Guarantee wage, and this will set wages universally with the JG wage being the minimum, so no need for separate minimum wage legislation. So just know that the Minimum Wage is a stop-gap until you get a Job Guarantee program up and running. This shows you the idea a minimum wage would kill private sectors jobs is simply wrong straight off the bat.

The unemployment effects of a minimum wage are government choices. The government can always buy anything that is for sale which the private market cannot purchase, and not to be crass, this means in particular the Federal government can "buy" all unused labour, i.e., can choose to have zero involuntary unemployment. Unemployment is a government choice (the wrong choice). So there is absolutely no need for Ben's more convoluted argument.
