Where do I find phone number?

Great show. Love the debunk + Shahid and Ana segments and will check out back down to earth. I think attacking warren for having a republican past is a strategic mistake. It looks petty and antithetical to the idea of allowing people room to make mistakes and do better. I think we should be converting warren supporters by appealing to the things they should like about Bernie rather than applying a purity test. Anyway appreciate what you and your team do here. Oh and I would also like to hear what Jagmeet said about Lula as he is my MP.

Not sure I agree that Tulsi hasn't called out the military industrial complex, I've heard her calling out the powerful and monetary forces manufacturing consent for war many times, since after all those are the forces that are attacking her on mainstream platforms. Otherwise I thought that segment about her was pretty spot on, I was into the Tulsi thing for awhile but you're right that we need to be electing Bernie, and every vote Tulsi gets is a vote that won't go to Bernie. Tulsi's take on foreign policy is better than most Democrats, but as you said, she still has a very American-centric nationalist view of it and that can only take us so far when we are trying to pursue international solidarity. I do think it is important to defend her when mainstream media tries to attack her for being willing to meet with leaders to pursue peace, because the pro-war forces in mainstream media are ubiquitous and very effective at manufacturing consent, and this what a President Sanders would be up against. It's just kind of funny that Tulsi has become an avatar of diplomatic foreign policy because the majority of the Democratic party is so awful and the bar is so low that Tulsi's milquetoast "let's not attack other governments unless there's a really good reason" comes off as radical to the status quo. Anyway I appreciated that segment, I thought it was pretty fair while saying what needed to be said. I was also very impressed with Shahid. Good show last night

C'mon Ben Burgis, get smarter, cut through the crap. Job Guarantee utterly trumps UBI and minimum wage. Be smarter dude. If I had that clown Trump's ear and told him about a Job Guarantee program, he'd be using it in rhetoric to crush a Biden, Warren or Harris opposition. He can't do that against Bernie. He would not implement it, but he'd use it like the fake populist he is. Fact is, among dozens of benefits a JG program would have it would (a) render a UBI completely redundant for all frickin time, and (b) automatically set the minimum wage, no independent minimum age legislation required. When you get lost in logic debating minor leafs of legislation point you miss the legislation forest.

A job guarantee program could (if implemented on pure social good purpose jobs) be mildly non-inflationary. It would give people dignity, social purpose, unite workers, keep people who cannot find private sector jobs skilled and primed for moving to better jobs, the benefits are vast. A JG would allow a massive expansion in the definition of "work" and "job", you could afford to have people doing what they love, rather than working as wage slaves for a boss. A JG would automatically discipline bosses, maybe in the longer run make bosses extinct. We do not need a separate minimum wage statute, that's not a legislative hill to die on. Implementing a smart, user friendly, elegantly purposed job guarantee program is something, for me, worth sacrificing everything I have for.

Hey Jeremy Johnson, I have some push back. The word "aperspectival" is mumbo jumbo. No matter who or where you are, your thinking always has a perspective. When ancient cultures were literally drawing without using perspective projections that was a geometric poverty, but their thinking certainly always had a mental perspective, e.g., either Ptolemaic, Platonistic, Vedantic or Cyclical, or what have you, depending upon the culture. What Integral theorists talk about, when you read and parse their writing carefully, is multi-perspective thinking. Looking at the world always prepared or even consciously trying out different points of view. Jibberish like "aperspectival" muddies the philosophical waters. don't you think? Can you honestly tell me you have ever in any moment had a literal view from nowhere? If you have, could you write about it usefully, or would it be quite ineffable?

@1:13:30 Climate change is not our civilizational crisis, it is a global ecological crisis. There is a civilizational crisis related to global warming, it is, in broad brush strokes, capitalist driven consumer materialism, it includes a denial of the spiritual altruistic nature of all humanity, a denial of the oneness of humankind. Still... #JeremyForPM I agree, (either Jeremy would do).

Hey Bijou! Fellow patron here. Still unreal to see this video! That being said, thanks for your honest pushback/questions about the term (and for your “vote” ;) ). Aperspectival doesn’t mean *no* perspectival, like “u-topia” (non-place) but an orientation that’s not emphasizing spatialized thinking. Think Renaissance perspectival art. This is considerably different usage than its common adaptation today, perspective taking, which Integral Theorists do indeed pursue! For Gebser the prefix “a” is very important for its liberational emphasis that attempts to privilege neither perspectival nor unperspectival sensemaking (which in Gebser’s schema comes immediately prior to the predominance of perspectivity). This in no way discounts the many different perspectives many of these cultures take. It’s difficult to sum everything up in a few short minutes, of course... So I’d recommend taking a closer look at Gebser’s actual text. It’s similar to Edgar Morin’s concept of the “dialogical,” rather than dialectical, thinking which Morin builds a case for working with.
