Interesting Lev Parnas tape. Trump is so stupid, more than you guys realise. USA is getting the best trade balance: lots of imports in return for US dollars (which are just savings accounts at the Fed once they are converted into Treasury bonds, which are useless assets unless they are spent, and the bond holders cannot just purchase anything they like, the USA has China, Europe and Japan by the throat on this). What the USA is getting screwed over on is purely domestic politics: lack of public investment in new high tech manufacturing sectors and jobs that are wide open sectors now that sweat shop factories have been out-sourced. It is a domestic spending slackness story, not a trade story. The US trade deficits are good, they work to huge US advantage, but the domestic deficit is far too small, leading to lack of investment in the USA, to huge public disadvantage. The trade balance is superb for the USA, the joblessness is not. Remember: exports are a real cost, imports are a real benefit. And all the more so when foreigners have a high demand for your currency (helps you maintain imports without currency depreciation). As usual, Trump seems to realise the correct threat domestically (leftist populism and joblessness), but gets the real economy story completely backwards. If we use a war analogy, Trump is a General who sees the enemy clearly, but who wants to fight them by lighting the home barricades on fire to stop them.

I'm disgusted with the UN and Guterres on the Israeli-USA Apartheid Plan response. From those who know it & want middle east apartheid you can understand their glowing endorsement, but the UN folks also know what it means and must surely be rejecting the plan, and yet they come out all non-aggressive and talk like cucks. Let's not forget, all the UN people are appointed by State governments, they have State backing and State approval, and Guterres is supposed to follow the collective will of all the member nation's authorizations, so for this to happen is truly an abomination. This is another reason why we need President Bernie. There is a lot his office could do to kick-start UN reform, for which he does not need a single Senate vote to start.
