This sucks, no two ways about it,  not much i can say at the moment other than, we will never ever give up, but we will get a lot better and I appreciate all of you. Brothers/Sisters, Commiserations from a Scot still shellshocked from the disaster that I experienced in the UK just a few months ago. If you can't find a way to say it yourself, someone else has said it better, so I leave you with the words of the great Tony Benn: "It is very important to keep optimism… I think progress has been made by two flames that have always been burning in the human heart: the flame of anger against injustice, and the flame of hope you can build a better world. It ain’t over yet. I’m annoyed that Bernie won’t be honest and just say that Biden can’t beat Trump. If they don’t find a way a avoid the debate some ground could be regained. He has to, has to, has to, announce Nina Turner for VP. I’ve felt for a few years that we were two generations away from getting our shit together as a species. I still believe that. Hang in their brother. It sucks but solidarity and love will persevere. Thanks for the show, it means a lot to me and connects our struggle in Australia to that of rest of you. In the worst of times our struggle can bring meaning to our lives in, and of, itself because it is shared among good people doing good things. Solidarity and peace.

Junk? I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous. Maybe you're frustrated about the results this week, but damning all philosophy and religion like that is just ignorant beyond belief. We're not building a winning coalition without philosophers and theologians from many diverse backgrounds. This doesn't mean sacrificing any of our inclusive principles, but we cannot afford to turn people away in broad strokes. We NEED Dr. Cornell West, now more than ever, for this exact reason.

Just commented on the YouTube page but also wanted to reiterate: thanks to Michael for being a relentlessly positive voice. Nothing ended last night, and we just keep working to make a better world, no matter how checked out or fucked up our fellow human beings may be. I think one great thing about TMBS is your focus on international issues -- something that more than anything can help American leftists get perspective on their situation. It can get so, so, so, SO much worse, and people keep struggling. Don't despair.

wonder if i would stand in the middle of all this how far would my hand reach into other lives would my back suffer the weight and strain would my voice carry the light into the night i can't have the weight of the world on me my strength to fight is stored in cabinets while locks are on the doors and drawers of my ability to overcome huge monsters i would help if i could, i would come to heal but my drum is too soft and my pipe too cold i'm just not sure of my exact super powers or i'd climb the clouds, and punch the sun
