Hey patrons, here's a bonus episode for those looking for content during our Coronavirus social distancing. Michael sat down with Branko Marcetic (@BMarchetich) to discuss the long history of Joe Biden being terrible. His "failed attempt to prostitute himself" and where Joe Biden came from. Buy Branko's new book on Biden, "Yesterday's Man," here.

What if we do get Biden and there’s no more Mitch or Graham or Rand Paul? I’m never going to support Biden, but I’m ever the optimist that something will go our way?

Unfortunately, it doesn't like Bernie will be the nominee. And we're all going to need to hold our noses and vote. We can blame Trump's election on a lot of things, but it does no good at this point. Things take time and maybe we progressives expect too much too soon. The only thing that matters is that Trump not get a 2nd term, cause if he does, it's going to take something like the Russian revolution followed by a modern version of the dark ages before we begin set things right. Already, the damage done cannot be repaired in the time many of us have left. The 2020 election must be overwhelming and that means everyone. Now's not the time to take your ball and go home. And if we're lucky, we have someone the caliber of Stacy Abrams as president in 2024. Then I can die in peace.

I don't think the race is over. There are a lot of states that haven't voted yet. It's not over until it's over. Before I ramble on I first want to say congrats on your new book Michael! I'm looking forward to reading it! Now, this has been on my mind for weeks so, I'm just going to put it there.... If the people who are MSM news watchers get even a whiff of genuine news reports from independent channels like this one and other channels like this, they will begin to see the light but... as long as their only source of news is via MSM they're going to be stuck on stupid because they are being lied to 24 / 7. Either get the MSM channels to start reporting honest news or find a way to get their zombie viewers to stop watching them. I don't pretend to know the answer to this problem but I do know if someone comes up with one, they're going to be helping millions of people wake up to what's actually going on around them and right in front of their nose.... Have good day, stay safe and take your vitamins & be kind to others. Oh, one last thing... I recently heard that covid-19 dies in the digestive system and the way to get it there before it attaches itself to the lungs is via hot liquids because it seems to hang out in the throat area (for about three days) but can be moved on safely with a hot drink: coffee; tea; soup; lemon water. And if you can, wash clothes right away when you've been outside but if that's not possible then hang them in the sunlight. It doesn't like that either. Oh and besides washing your hands for at least 20 secs frequently throughout the day, take a hot shower if you've been outside to get your hair clean of whatever may have attached itself to it. That is a great solution for allergy sufferers too. OK, that's it... Namaste

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on previous journalistic eras. It seems to me that in the Golden Age of Murrow, Brinkley, Huntley, and later Cronkite, Jennings, Rather, etc.—anything pre-24/7 news and pre-internet—things were not as bad in terms of tabloid entertainment being fused with serious news. Wasn’t there a bill or an act in the 1990s deregulation that started us down this “news as entertainment” path? You have spoken of the need for good objective journalism as a counterweight to all the opinion journalism, usually with reference to how bad the NYT is at it. I have not read deeply into the history of this. Maybe I will use the social distancing period to look into it. I may be looking through the rose-colored glasses of Proustian childhood flashback. But right now I would give anything for a Cronkite, or a Jennings, on CNN or MSNBC.
