Have you guys listened to Freddie Gibbs Piñata. It’s like a word movie.

Of course Third Party! But has to not really be a partisan party, just a block of people working for social and economic justice, a movement, all-embracing, no left, no right, no centre, just a movement the front for which is like an Independents Party (no pledges on specific details, just broad policy like healthcare, education, public election finance, public infrastructure finance, MMT economics, and of course environment and justice). You build from the grass roots, like Justice Dems, bring them in, break from the Democrats, bring in DSA, bring in Greens, an Alliance Party. Make it explicit, unlike the fake "big tent Dems". Hell, I'd even have that dork Saagar Enjeti in my tent. And you do not let losing elections worry you one bit, you play the long game. Your purpose is to initially gain broad support, not seats and definitely not aiming for the Presidency (unless some freakishly charismatic economically and class literate leader is found), that's a far term goal, which the grass roots strategy will likely bring closer to near term. Seats in government will eventually come in aces. This will turn the Democrat Party into the feckless UK Lib Dems, guaranteed. And 'so what?' if they form an alliance with the GOP, that'll be their funeral.

Paul Lebow

All good except realize MMT is not about “justice” but merely an interpretation of the current bank-run money system. See www.monetaryalliance.org

3rd party? Cenk's board the Democratic party ship since they aren't using it strategy doesn't seem to being working. Finding a new Bernie like AOC (still to young in four years) isn't satisfying now. We do need a new Bernie right, 3rd. party or not?

Perhaps the left needs to spend a little more time adopting some of the tactics of their opponents, and then dialing them up a notch. The ideas and messaging of the left are certainly the best, but their is quite a drop in skill and tactics after that; the overall weapons in the left's armory need to be more diverse. Indeed, the recipe for political success could use a little less honesty and presentation, and a little more ruthless savagery. For example: the neoliberals that infiltrated Corbin's campaign and worked to kill it. Just a thought.

Any help w/ a link to the 2nd part of this convo.?

That is more organizing. I agree that we need more of that. If the left were crafting plans and executing those plans in coordination with other plans (all meant to complement), it would help immensely. It is currently disorganized.
