What We Are Reading? (Patreon)

Hope everyone is well. A few pieces this week, my most recent Jacobin video is up where I break down the right-wing self-help industry. This was largely inspired by Adorno's work "The Stars Down To Earth" there is a link to the text at the bottom if you are interested. Another great piece in Jacobin breaking down the thought and life of Rudolf Hilferding, a crucial Marxist thinker. Lenin's indispensable speech made in the cradle of Soviet power, the fight for women's equality in the early Soviet Union is not well-known in the US for obvious reasons we should rectify that.

Lastly, two longer texts. Matt & I are going to begin working on a reading serious where we will revisit important texts in socialist thought & break them down for today. We haven't decided what to start with yet but are leaning toward "The Critique of The Gotha Programme" followed by Engels "Origin Of The Family." If you are interested you can get a head start.

And as always reach out if there is ever anything you want to be covered in future installments. Thank you all!
