I really hate YouTube and they are evil. Unless one pays for a subscription on top of the Patreon subscriptions that I've already paid for, they interrupt the video with ads, often inconveniently in the middle of a stream of thought you're expressing, at least every 5-10 minutes. It makes the videos almost unwatchable for me. For reasons why YouTube is evil, see for example https://www.theverge.com/2019/6/7/18656540/googles-youtube-lgbtq-employees-harassment-policies-pride-month https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/campaigns/youtube-regrets/ Youtube also claims credit to your copyright in their user agreement, I believe. I prefer to use Vimeo when I need to upload videos. I GREATLY prefer the podcast format over video as well since I'm often listening while I'm out walking or folding laundry or cleaning the house and such, which are less amenable to watching videos.

If you download the browser add-on AdBlock, then you will no longer have ads breaking up videos.

I saw the announcement here and realized that although I wrote in to the Majority Report after Michael's passing, I kinda unplugged and took a break from TMBS.  Wanted to dump some of those thoughts here. I started watching MR around the Occupy protests back in 2011, and became a daily listener around 2012.  Been listening to TMBS since the beginning.  Like so many, I credit Michael for teaching me and expanding my horizons, particularly on international politics.  And I never so much as shook his hand. Recently, I've been listening to the episodes I've missed, and I hear Michael's echo in Lisha's humor and in the crew's ongoing work. Congrats to Lisha, Matt, David, and the expanded universe of guests for making a show I cannot recommend highly enough to my friends, and I'm really excited for the legacy project and Left Reckoning coming up!
