Hi everybody, I've been meaning to make a post for a little bit to just assess how people are feeling about this whole thing. It's been great to see people take an interest in my little writing hobby, and I wanted to tweak things as time goes on to make the Patreon even better!

Please share your feedback in the comments. What have you liked? What have you disliked? What have your favorite stories been, and why? Everything helps!

Discussion Question: Tier changes?

As of right now, I am considering tweaking the tiers a bit. Savant is the most-subbed tier, which makes sense, because that's the one you get all the stuff. Of course, the lower tiers still have their own subs.

That being said, editing stories for each tier can be a bit of a pain. I'm also very conscious of pushing stories to be 30+ pages in length, so the folks paying for the top tier feel like they're getting what they paid for. This has led to some delays posting stories as I work with writing partners to have schedules align and finish things up. It also decreases the frequency that I post.

For that reason, I've been considering a single tier rather than three. You pay, you get access to everything.

I'll stop myself from going on and on, but let me know what thoughts are on this sort of thing! I may do a few polls with closed options if people are more comfortable with anonymity.

Other than a bit of confusion on the story folders at the start. I currently have no complaints and I think this page is primo stuff. If changing the tier structure makes things easier on you id say go for it. I'll still be subbed either way

Just sharing my thoughts but I’ve always looked at tiers as more something that gives benefits for people willing to pay for it; The base tier is where everyone gets access to all the works you’ve written but everything after provides something unique to the amount paid examples like a request board or voting poll for what stories people would be interested in reading next if you gave them the option or for people willing to pay even more maybe a commission/request slot with a specific length in mind so they don’t ask too much from you so you can still work on your projects while still providing them their tier benefit Still I’m just sharing my thoughts from what other Patreons have done so you can completely ignore me if none of this is what you want on your page but just giving the suggestions that I think people would like to see

I think for changes; all tiers should have the able to unlock achieved stories and previews. The 1st and 2nd tiers should be able to unlock shorter or smaller stories or just their with the 10+ - 30+ page lengths. While Tier 3 should still be able to have the full access package and probably chances to make requests or commissions for a story. Maybe for holidays, all tiers to be able to access holiday theme stories. Though are my thoughts, but otherwise I have no complaints on the current structure.

These are good points! If I am able to increase my output to give higher tiers additional benefits, I might consider it.

Of course seems reasonable to me, the main reason that I brought up most of these points was my own idea of what I thought would be a good template for your page im not saying to make your works cheaper than what you think they are worth but I was imagining the base tier being the 10$ option that way people still get stories from all lengths short and Lengthy, then you can go up from there 15$ could be the next stage with some more interactions with your own patrons like the polls or boards as examples, and up to your own choice maybe a 25 or 30$ option for the highest tier where it could be that sort of limited slot short story request slots

I'm all for longer stories, so if that means I have to wait a little bit so be it. I wouldn't want to get rid of the tiers if it means the stories shrink in size

Replying to this way late lmao, sorry. Some fun ideas to incentivize folks to stay on with holiday stories, I'll consider that for the future. Commissions are probably not going to happen in the foreseeable future, unfortunately. They just exhaust me. Since I'm just a hobbyist writer, I'm content to just post my various flights of fancy. One thing I have considered is to offer closed options for stories to prioritize and have people choose them in polls. As for right now, I already have a backlog of things I'm planning to release for the rest of the year, so that might be something I try out in 2026. Thank you for your support!

I'm glad you appreciate them! We do put a ton of work into those longer stories, so even if I feel bad that we post less often, it's good that some folks do enjoy those longer reading experiences.
