Your dialogue is so good though, of course we want more!

John DeBlanc

Your dialogue IS the story! It allows us to see both the motivation and the thought processes behind all of the characters and their actions

This was nice. I really like how the first half of this teaser Kelly and Emmie switch places about different problems and the fulcrum of the switch is Steph. At the start Kelly was all Steph will handle Brian and then for the second half Emmie was all Steph will handle Kelly. This is actually Steph's harem. Fight me!

White Neko Knight

Your dialogue is amazing and really gives the characters life. Don't pull and Emily and overthink things, you're doing fine.

Pretty much what everyone else says, your dialogue is most of the reason I'm reading :)

Dialog is my favorite part of any story, so my personal feeling is that this was all great. Still, you're a great author so do what you feel I guess - we've got your back on whatever you decide because we all love you. I'm also suuuuper excited to hear that we'll soon be getting more RE:TT, which I love even more than ACH! Huzzah!

I think you're being a bit hard on yourself. This is where a lot of dialogue would happen. Super massive moment, post moment freakouts, yeah. I think you're being a bit hard on yourself.

Now that you mention it, all of that *is* a very Emily thing to do. No wonder he writes her so well!

The dialog is great, but I *was* thinking that I didn't know what the characters were actually *doing* as I read this. Like, when Emily did her "time out" thing, I pictured their *walk* coming to a halt, too. And for multiple paragraphs of dialog, I continued to picture them standing in place as they talked it out. I didn't reconsider that assumption (and didn't even fully comprehend it *was* an assumption) until I realized that'd mean they were having a pretty long conversation without moving even though they're supposed to be walking to meet someone. A line here and there about how much further they have to go, what they're passing, etc would be welcome additions. As for the actual content, quality, and tone of what they're saying? It's pretty golden.

This has been interesting and fun, but I’m really excited to hear that Re:TT is coming back! You have a gem there.

- But, at the very end there, Emily strikes me as having things a little *too* figured out, considering how things are at this moment. Then again, maybe that's kinda the point; maybe that's just *really* her thing. I can imagine her river metaphor representing her finding / carving / otherwise providing the *path* (paths? I don't think there's any reason her river can't have branches) that connects and/or directs everyone in the right direction. Like, *follow the flow downstream.* She already got their thoughts flowing in the proper direction with anime themes lol

While you dialogue is quite good, I feel like it takes up 70% or the story. It might just be that I haven’t read any story written like this before, but it feels like “all bark and no bite” if that makes sense. If your going to do long, in depth conversations, you should lightly explain how the characters move/gesticulate because the average human constantly moves their body when speaking. Cuz as of right now, When ever they start talking about the dream world, I honestly get quite lost at what they are talking about, as your use of metaphors will not make sense to everybody.

Well, I find it overwhelming, but it is also how I imagine teen age girls talk to each other. I have just no experience with teenage girls in this century, but it is exaggerated enough to be a bit irritating while kinda cute in its own way. I enjoy wading through it, but I get done and, well I am reminded of when a buddy of mine and I drove across America. We had this great VW beetle and a book of road maps. We reduced out conversation to a series of grunts. And then laughed and laughed. thank for bringing that back. That was 1976. The bicentennial year.
