Zelda watched her beloved protector’s chest gently rise and fall as he lay sprawled out on his bedroll. She loved seeing him rest so peacefully, and wished to wake up to such a sight every morning. The princess leaned down and kissed Link ever so tenderly on the forehead, then turned her attention to their campsite.
Having returned Hyrule to a state of relative peace, the pair had decided to journey across this beautiful kingdom together - this time with the goal of simply enjoying themselves. Though Link was usually the one who cooked all their meals, Zelda decided to surprise him with a breakfast of her own making for a change.
The one catch: she’d never been taught to cook.
“‘Oh princess, royalty such as yourself need not concern themselves with such paltry tasks(!)’ I suppose royalty need not have hobbies, either…” Zelda muttered to herself as she took stock of the ingredients Link kept in his ambiguously-sized inventory. “Alright, let us see… a large radish, some peppers, a banana bunch. Milk, salt, eggs. Erm, a beetle? A bottle of… violet sauce? Scales? hooves? eyeballs?? A lizard??? A live lizard! Link, what in the goddesses’ names…?” Zelda turned to check if her surprised outburst had awoken her lover, and was glad to see him still sleeping soundly. “Phew… Alright, what did he cook for us yesterday? Some kind of meat stew, I believe? It was scrumptious, and he said it was one of his favourites, so perhaps I could try my hand at such a dish!”
Zelda rummaged through Link’s stash of collected items in search of a nice cut of meat - or at least, a nice non-lizard cut of meat - and eventually found a rather grotesque purple organ. Little did the princess know that she had in fact found some bokoblin guts.
“Urk… W-well, I know meat is much less appetising before it is cooked, so I suppose I shall try to keep an open mind…” Without so much as chopping them up, Zelda unceremoniously dumped the bokoblin guts into the empty pot above their smoldering campfire. “Now, what would Link season this with? Hmmm… Bone broth is quite tasty, perhaps these bone shards will be useful.”
What she thought were bone fragments were in actuality bokoblin fangs and a bokoblin horn, but Zelda nonetheless tossed them into the pot.
“Rarely do meals only contain a single seasoning, though… Violet sauce would naturally go well with violet meat, presumably.”
Without an idea of what she was adding to her concoction, Zelda poured a bottle of monster extract over the bokoblin guts.
“One can never go wrong with spicy peppers!”
With that, the first normal ingredient was finally added to Zelda’s stew.
Next, Zelda scooped up a bucketful of clear river water and carefully poured it all in with the rest of her ingredients, then stoked and added some wood to the campfire. As she waited for the water to start boiling, the princess pondered what last minute additions she could make and was struck with an idea: “A simple charm to give my stew that extra je ne sais pas!” With the snap of her fingers, she cast an improvised spell on the pot’s contents. “Here’s to filling up our tummies!”
Soon, Zelda’s magic-infused creation began to bubble, creating a strange but not unpleasant scent. Despite her best intentions, Hyrule’s princess was unknowingly brewing a potent potion with corruptive properties.
After a while spent simmering, the especially dubious ‘stew’ turned a pale lavender hue that Zelda took as a sign it was finished cooking. Once she’d ladled herself a bowl, Hyrule’s leader paused; her creation wasn’t anything like what Link would cook up - and certainly didn’t look particularly appetising - but still Zelda steeled herself to at least give it a taste.
Zelda winced as soon as the first drop hit her tongue, but to her surprise, her ‘stew’ tasted rather nice! “Mmm! Not quite the same as Link’s, but I could get used to this!”
As she consumed her breakfast, princess Zelda failed to notice her belly subtly swelling up with each bite. The Triforce of Wisdom glowed on her right hand as it reacted to a magically-induced destabilisation within Zelda’s mind, but also went unnoticed by the feasting woman.
“Mmmm, that was delisk… delish… deal-ish… yummy! It was yummy!” Zelda couldn’t help but eye the rest of her potion. “Link would not mind if Zelda had another bowl… right?”
Unaware of the fact her speech abilities were being degraded, she poured herself another bowl and dug right in. Her belly was now poking out from under her tight blue blouse, yet still Zelda remained unphased. Now though, her immune system was no longer able to fend off the potion’s corruptive properties and the real changes were beginning; her teeth sharpened and rearranged to allow for new fangs to slowly grow in, her skin began to shift in hue as it gained a slight blue tint to it, and her nose was beginning to expand and flatten out! All the princess noticed, however, was an increased ease in smelling her food’s aroma.
Once her second bowl of ‘stew’ was in her now-pudgy tummy, Zelda had to stop and think about what to do next. “What was Zelda going to do again? Zel… Zel, uh… Zelluh forget…” The monstrous influence of the potion had already seeped into her brain and begun rewiring her neurons into that of a simple bokoblin.
Since she’d eaten so much at once, Zelluh’s proportions had to catch up to her stomach; her thighs and butt were stretching her leggings taut as they expanded and the fabric of her blouse began to strain from her inflating bosom. The changing woman tried to scratch her head as she struggled to access her memories, but couldn’t move her fingers enough to do so. Her pinky and ring fingers stuck to each other, as did her middle and index fingers.
“Zelluh wants to make something for someone… for… Link?” Just as she remembered his face, Zelluh noticed the sleeping hero on his bedroll nearby. “Link! Zelluh’s favourite!”
She rushed toward him, but quickly tripped over her own feet - feet which she suddenly realised were incredibly sore. When she kicked off her rather small boots, she was shocked to find one of her feet had five toes on it! Her normal foot had two talon-like toes on them, but the other-!
“Oh. Uhhh… Five? Three? Two? Three? Two. Of course Zelluh only have two! Zelluh must have miss… mist count… missed… count wrong!” Zelluh’s diminishing mental faculties struggled to make sense of her five human toes merging into two bokoblin ones, especially since she could no longer recall any memories to remind her she was ever anything other than a bokoblin.
Similarly, her hands now featured three fingers, each with fingernails that were rapidly growing into beastly claws. The light blue hue of her skin continued to saturate and shift closer to the shade of her taut blouse, which was moments away from tearing itself open. First to snap though were her leggings, shredding into tiny pieces and leaving naught but a torn loincloth between her plump legs.
“Ooh! Heh heh hoink oink oink!, Zelluh suddenly feel breeze! Huh… What Zelluh doing again?” Zelluh’s fine silk blouse was finally ripped apart as she tried to think, falling away to expose her heavy, still-expanding breasts. “Something, break…fast? Nummy food…” The increasingly monstrous woman rubbed her soft, pudgy tum and sniffed at the air; her nose was now just like that of a pig and could smell her tasty pot of stew even with the breeze blowing most of its steamy aroma away from her. Then, when she turned her head to the side, she noticed him again. “Link! Zelluh’s favourite!”
Hyrule’s sleepy hero was sprawled out on his back, snoring lightly as his chest slowly rose and fell. Zelluh eagerly sat on his lap, waiting for her beloved to awaken and give her some attention. “Be… beloved? Nnng…”
A sharp headache began squarely atop her noggin as powerful, cherished memories of her time with Link were warped inside her foggy mind: the time Link fought off and defended her from those other meanie bokoblins who were bullying her; the funny look on his Hylian face as she clumsily followed him to his camp; the warm fuzzies in her stomach she got when he thanked her for finding foodstuffs and shinies and doodads for him; the pride she felt when the Triangle of Think-Smarts chose her to help Link; and the peace she felt when Ganondorf and his big rude meanie bokoblins were defeated by her beloved, Zelluh’s favourite. Once most of her vague memories had been rewritten, her headache faded away and a bokoblin horn sprouted out of her head.
Zelluh looked at the back of her hand, then the back of Link’s; there, the Triangle of Think-Smarts and the Triangle of Big-Brave remained. The bokoblin woman exhaled in relief, glad she hadn’t let her most important of shinies get stolen, and extra glad she hadn’t let her beloved down. She could hear Link’s steady heartbeat with her transforming ears as they gradually became as big and floppy as any other Bokoblin’s.
“Beloved…” The more that word rolled around her noggin, the more a hazy, unaltered image appeared in her mind’s eye. It was Zelda’s fondest memory: her first kiss with Link. Unsure of what exactly this mouth gesture meant, or why her face in that memory was Hylian like his, Zelluh gathered that a ‘kiss’ must be some kind of Hylian mating ritual. “Yeah! Beloved mate! Zelluh mate with Zelluh’s favourite! Oink oink oink!” Her piglike giggles barely made Link stir, as he was a rather deep sleeper.
By now, though, Zelluh’s mouth and tongue had widened along with the rest of her head, and she simply couldn’t wrap her mind around how a kiss actually worked. The transformed woman wouldn’t let that stop her, though, as she leaned down and tried her best; opening her mouth, she gingerly stuck out her tongue and lightly licked Link’s cheek.“Oohoho! Oink oink oink!” Butterflies erupted in her round tummy and a fun feeling began between her legs. Again she licked him, this time sliding her tongue across his whole face without any reservations whatsoever. Whatever this kissing thing meant, it sure felt wonderful when it was with Link!

Link felt a weight pressing down on him and a brush against his face. The slumbering hero was dreaming of his beloved princess, but the mental image of Zelda sitting before him as they shared tea together was interrupted by the smell of a bokoblin’s breath seeping into his nostrils. His lucidity began to fade away, but not before he turned to search for the source of the smell. Nothing surrounded their table in the castle courtyard, but when he turned back to Zelda, there was now a bokoblin sitting politely across from him! The bokoblin dropped an entire, full teacup into its large mouth and began to crunch.
Then, the dream ended, and Hyrule’s hero returned to the waking world.
His face was wet and his vision blurred. Something was rhythmically pressing against his face, sending his body into action: just like that, he was alert and ready to defend himself from whatever threat had emerged! It took only a split second to realise the weight atop him was a bokoblin! And it was… licking him?
Link sat up, causing the bokoblin to grunt excitedly. It began oinking in a way he’d never seen - at least not while in combat - and simply sat on him with a big dopey grin on its face.
“Uhh…” Link furrowed his brow, electing not to reach for the Master Sword just yet.
“Uhhhhh~!” The monster mimicked him playfully, then licked his face once again for good measure.
Carefully wriggling his way out from underneath this odd bokoblin, Link stood up and simply observed. It wasn’t acting hostile, and was in fact quite clingy; the creature also stood and lingered close to him, even going so far as to slowly hug his arm. Moreover, Link had never seen a light blue bokoblin like this before, and especially not one with long blonde hair.
“...” A sinking feeling overcame him as he examined further. The bokoblin’s hair was styled strikingly similar to Zelda’s, and the princess’ royal garments were torn up and scattered around camp - including scraps of her soft black leggings, remnants of which were serving as a loincloth on the bokoblin’s pudgy form. Then, the unmistakable smell of boiling bokoblin guts blew his way on the breeze.
Link had learned very early that no matter how starving you were, bokoblin meat never made for a particularly appetising or nutritious meal. However, what he saw bubbling in the pot over the fire resembled more of a potion than a meal. Putting two and two together, Link determined that the bokoblin currently nuzzling up beside him was in fact Princess Zelda!
“Link! Zelluh’s favourite!” The monstrous woman moaned needily, tugging gently on Link’s arm.
‘How am I going to undo this?’ Link thought to himself. ‘She doesn’t seem to be herself inside or out. At least she’s staying here with me and not wandering off. Ms. Purah will know what to do, I hope…’
