This photo was snapped at Christ Church Cathedral, which has stood tall in the heart of Dublin for almost 1,000 years.

I only visited for a weekend… but Dublin really stole my heart.

It’s such an easy city. Safe, so friendly, clean, pretty, completely walkable. Delightful shops, beautiful cathedrals, and Guinness — straight from the source!

I had an absolutely lovely visit, and with pride I can say that on the my last of my four nights in Ireland, I closed down a proper Irish pub singing and dancing my buns off along to — who else? — The Cranberries! šŸ§Ÿā€ā™€ļø

(Never had I been more grateful that my dad used to play Zombie over and over when I was a kid!)

There are many more reflections to come, from all of my experiences in these past days and weeks.

Soon, I’ll be making my way back to my beloved New York City, for the month of April.

I need to rest my bones in one place. A place that’s familiar. A place where I can wander the streets and read and write… and digest my three months of European travels.

From Marseille,

to Paris,

to Venice,

to Rome,

to Dublin…

…it’s most certainly been a journey.

I’m closing out my last few days in Italy (for now).

And appreciating so deeply that I have given myself this experience.

For years, travel was just a dream.

I even worked at an airport in Austin, Texas only a little over five years ago, where I would dream daily about where I would go when I finally got to take flight.

Now? 9 countries and 4 continents.

Countless cities and towns.

It’s been kind of a whirlwind, the past year and a half.

An unexpected, sensational, challenging, beautiful turn in my story, especially in the middle of a global pandemic…

But here I am.

Thank you immensely for being here and on the journey with me.

I know there’s so much more to come…

xoxo
