"Oh, the learning of each and every day. I am quite tired... but my heart is electric and I feel unbreakable."

Written in my journal before drifting into sleep about twenty-four hours ago. Happened to be exactly what I needed to read in this moment.

I love my journal.

I fall into myself to write, and I write to fall into myself.

I do it because I must. I do it because I want to. I do it because there is no not doing it.

I am a writer as much as I am a human being. Maybe even more writer than human being, since I had a choice in the matter of being a writer.

Or did I? A puzzle for which there is no answer.

And I find myself wanting to enjoy questions more than I pursue answers. What are the new questions I have? The old? How do I feel in them? Where can I wear them? Where can I move in these questions? There are so many, always. My curiosity is boundless, and questions give me room to breathe, to play, to dance, to wander. In my questions, I have found frustration only when I have sought to answer them—to get a sense of control over my reality or perceptions of reality. In being open with the questions—not expecting answers—I glimpse complete freedom and contentment.

Cheers.

I recall when my daughter was three and she would pummel me with the question “why?” It’s a common thing for young children. I would answer and then she would take the thread of inquiry to the next level and ask why ? It was endless. I could never satisfy her need to ask questions. She is not alone is she? ❤️
