Mh, my english checkers both said it's fine like it is, since it's a single sentence and nothing follows. The other way needs someting to be said after, to complete the sentence. English is not my first language, yes, but I do trust my native english friends who help me.

@Aldous' rephrasing flows better, but that's not always how we speak. Perhaps surprisingly, the, "She got lost," part is actually what completes the next part, even though it came before it. But it's still fine as it is. You already have English checkers. English is sooo hard! You're doing great, author!
