She's gonna realise something ain't straight

ivlen bub

The way Yukimi looks at Aruka.... Thank you for these pages 💕😊

Alexandria Clarke

The stress of worrying that Aruka would get on that god damn train

Raquel Evangelista

Awww Yukimi wants knows if she likes Aruka in the same way!!

Tonan

I feel the urge to stop reading to give them privacy

Nielsi

That subtle blush from Yumi in the last panel 🥺 You're almost there girl! You have the blocks in front you, now you just have to build the tower!

Taiyaki

Awww it’s like reverse from when they met. Aruka is sobbing and Yukimi is taking her home! No deer this time though haha.

miraitte

I love this so much!

ticcytx

like.. yukimi biggest fear are assassins demon deers, aruka's biggest fear is homophobic reaction, so... where is the lie 🤣

Emily Smith

aaaaaaaaaaaaa 🥰🥰🥰

Leo

amazing art as always, and they talked it out!!!! time to talk a little bit more 👀

Emily Smith

You can see her pull the blanket up slightly. She’s so nervous.

KPOPmantra

Yess progress, we like to see it!

Aldous Russell

Thanks! "have you know" should be "known".

Matthew

Oh man, the relief when Aruka wasn’t on the train…also, I’m glad they’re talking about it :)

Gryps2

Love the progression in this story. So many parallels and call backs. The art is great as always, but the writing is so good for a first time comic

ticcytx

thank you!! In reality tho this is not my first comic, I've been working in this field since 2011, just this is the first comic I can publish online with no issues or contracts in the middle ahah

ChikyuuNeko

Yukimi gives the vibe of needing to confirm what she already knows. She probably has long realised that it's odd how she didn't take any interest in her ex or any other boys after that, but could never stop thinking about Aruka. Reality is that without any sort of gay role models, figuring everything out yourself is hella hard

Laika Speaks

Awww they’re good girls doing their best. ;-;

ChikyuuNeko

Is there any place where one can find your older work? I've seen a bunch of fanart by you, but so far no comic longer than 1 or 2 pages

ticcytx

my first comic was a self publishing fantasy work that was printed only in italian until 2013, where I had to drop it due issues and time. Then I worked as assistant in many comic with color and inks, but as assitant you never get any credit. Then for a couple of years I worked on small comics commissioned by my city to promote the territory and culture and... they where very cringe, I don't really want to dig them up again ahah. Kig is the first comic I'm controlling 100%, and maybe this is why I went so far without burning out. Oh, I did a doujin about Azura and Corrin tho, you can find it for free on my gumroad shop

Keilyn Sophia

I really wish there was a panel where you could clearly see Aruka was about to cry. That classic anime face shot, ya know? So I went back to check 112 to get a better sense of the transition between 112 and 113, and...it really feels like there's a page missing between them. A panel where Aruka is about to burst into tears, maybe another when her emotional dam breaks. And I feel like we're also missing a panel or two where Yukimi walks forward and takes Aruka's hand. Which happened first; the crying or the hand-taking? I wasn't expecting a kiss. I know a lot of us were hoping for that. But there's some incredibly critical emotional occurrence missing between 112 and 113. The kind of emotional occurrence I, we *live* for.

Keilyn Sophia

Ah, I did it again. Jumped directly to critical observation and failing to recognize what's amazing about but you've drawn for us. These scenes really are beautiful, and they are bringing me happiness in a moment extreme personal and professional stress and despair. I love the story and the art and the emotion you capture here. So, thank you for giving us this. I hope you continue to weave and create this beautiful tale for all of us to take in, live vicariously through.

Kitfg

"Can we go back home?" Ma'am just listen to yourself😭. In other news Aruka showing her guns👀

chichi

FCK I LOVE THIS SO MUCH THANK U MS AUTHOR FOR THIS MASTERPIECE!!!

ticcytx

Thank you! Mh, it's interesting that you feel that a piece is missing, while for me page 112 was already exposing the confusing emotions Aruka is feeling right now. The crying is just a response after all the bottled emotions she had in all these pages. She was almost crying when she run while remembering her past, but she menaged to keep calm somehow and go on with her run. Now having Yukimi confronting her and telling her that she is accepting her queer is enough to make her break. And about what happened first, the cry or the hand... .. does it really matter in the end? The point is not how or when Aruka breaks, but that she is trusting Yukimi enough to stay and listen.

Jessica Hoffmann

I actually really love this choice. For me - and I know it's just personal taste - avoiding the cliche is extremely powerful: the imagery of the train that comes and goes like what could have been, but Aruka staying because Yukimi is reaching out to her is so intimate and suggests so much. I find it so refreshing and more relatable to not have had the same scene we've seen a hundred times in shoujo mangas.

Unasinous

The second page just hit me in the face with the relatability hammer

ChikyuuNeko

Thanks! I'll check out the doujin then :) KIG really is amazing, you are very talented not only as an artist but also in writing interesting characters and pacing a story really nicely. Particularly the latter is very hard to pull off, so huge props! Looking forward to see this series continue and I hope you'll also get to create more original works in the future!

Prosinco

Well luckily this confession is going way better than my own :') Happy for them ;-; <3

ChoppyHina

Aaaaah sono così precious, la vignetta centrale dove piangono entrambe è così bella ç____ç ♥

ticcytx

tragedy avoided.. for now (?)

ticcytx

less running more talking

ticcytx

ahah I'm happy that the train option was slighty possible for you readers

ticcytx

again, feelings are hard, and it not easy to have your thoughts clean and clear :(

ticcytx

they're really doing their best

ticcytx

we already know this will end well 😳

ticcytx

grazieee bimbe sono stravolte

AnonymousLesbian

I have a feeling this conversation is going to make Yukimi realize that being bisexual is an option. Like, Aruka will say “I just never found guys attractive, so I could rule out being bi,” and Yukimi will be like “!!!”

Rev

The way she broke up with her boyfriend after 2 weeks make me feel like she really doesn't like guys all that much

Aubrey Bryn

I think 113 is possibly my favorite page of the comic, the only one being when Aruka tells her mom that Yukimi is coming to live with them. Just the way Yukimi comes over to grab Aruka's hand, Yukimi seems like she's afraid Aruka will disappear if she didn't. And Aruka's emotional overload must be refreshing, finally able to say what she's wanted to say for most of her life, finally knowing that the person she cares about the most won't deny her.

Emily Smith

It’s possible that Aruka is the only person she’s ever been romantically attracted to so far, especially if she’s demi as some people have suggested.

Emily Smith

Those two pages also mirror each other nicely!

Aubrey Bryn

Haha, very true! I didn't even think of the parallel.

Jack Newbill

Now that you mention it, Emily, there're a lot of artistic parallels between those scenes. Aruka wears a red shirt in both of them. Yukimi wears a short sun-dress withcalf-length leggings in both. And Yukimi's green nail-polish here matches the green dress from when they first me.
