And here we have it, the flag reveal!

Yes, Yukimi is ace, but not sex repulsed, just 404 lust not found (most of the times). This aspect might come in some future updates! \o/

Hello Ticcyx, Longtime fan of your work and finally managed to get myself to a place where I could support your work in a real way. In particular, I want to thank you for this image. Your art and storytelling is amazing, of course, but I remember seeing this drawing for the first time and it stuck with me ever since. In truth, I relate to Yukimi on a lot of levels; how she shows love and how she thinks. Seeing her with those flags on her cheeks all that time ago was the catalyst in helping me finally understand and accept who I am. What I felt. I'm like her. A biromantic asexual. I always thought something was deeply broken with me, but there you and Yukimi were there offering me another perspective. Thank you. Truly. -S

Congratulations on finishing your first webcomic! Totally forgot to comment on the ending at all. Haaah. 🌪 This has been a wonderful journey to follow over the past year. It's always a delight to witness the full creative vision of an artist one's discovered through fanwork. Thank you very much for creating Kiss it Goodbye. 💚

In case you don't see my reply in the comments chatter, Ticcyyx. I am tearing up a bit because this is such an unexpected and lovely surprise. As a pan ace, I've gotten so used to characters like Yukimi's in media being just standard bi or pan, it's so wonderful to see someone ace as the main character. looking back, it makes perfect sense how Aruka is more lust-oriented when it comes to attraction and Yukimi is more emotion based. They're so perfect, I love them both so much! Thank you for this wonderful story and world!

Hey Misha can you explain being ace and being in a relationship with someone who wants sex? I don’t want to come off as ignorant but doesn’t that make it like bad if the ace person has sex only because their partner wants it?

fr0st

Hey Maria. No worries at all, it's a good question. Many ace people place themselves somewhere along a spectrum from sex positive to sex negative (with sex neutral in the middle, as Yukimi seems to be). Sex positive people don't really want to have sex for their own pleasure but enjoy it because their partner enjoys it. Someone up in the comments gave a really good comparison about foot massages and how you enjoy giving them to someone because they are enjoying it, but don't really get any direct enjoyment yourself out of it. If you're sex negative, you absolutely do not want to have sex. As with any relationship, these things should be discussed and each party should be happy with the result. I identify as sex positive so I would not mind it if it makes my partner happy. If someone is sex negative, it's a hard no for them and the partner should either be someone happy to accept that or not get into a romantic relationship with them. As someone else mentioned, sexual is very different from romantic as well. Someone who does not really want to have sex will still have deep feelings for their partner and may enjoy things like cuddling or touching, just aren't interested in sex to express their love in a physical way. Hope that's helpful. Happy to clarify further if that helps, but I can only speak to my own experience for the most part so these should not be considered universally true.

oh-kay

i didn't know ace sex positive was a thing and i've done some reading in different articles on it since and am now very invested in understanding it better and very much so hope its a topic you go into in the future

So lovely!! <3 Aaaa

Meribor

Hi, Misha, this is potentially too personal a question to answer, and so, absolutely no worries if you don't wish to answer it. You've already been quite open with everyone, so thank you! So, my Q... With what you've said here and above, does this mean that your partner always or nearly always initiates sex with you?

fr0st

Hi, Meribor. No worries, just happy to see the rep and see people interested in learning more about the wonderful variety of folks that exist on the ace spectrum! To answer your question without going into specifics, that's something that good communication will help with. It's certainly been my experience that if left to its dynamic, it can very quickly devolve into one partner always initiating and the other feeling uncomfortable being the person saying yes or no. One approach may be for the ace person (assuming they are sex positive or neutral) to initiate just so their partner feels desired. In the same way that if your partner's love language is being taken care of and yours isn't, you'll likely make a special effort to take care of them when they're tired or sick because it makes them feel loved and appreciated and they'll do the same with whatever your love language is, even if they don't really feel the same way.

Ooooh!! È bene sapere come la pensa Yukimi così da avere le idee chiare e capire meglio il fumetto ed eventuali futuri episodi dove appariranno queste due ciccine!

I wonder if it would be possible to get a Japanese dub of KiG with help from Merryweather.

I'm curious on how Yukimi is going to explain to Aruka about her being bi and ace romantic (biromantic)?

oh-kay

i think they're gonna figure it out together. yukimi was just figuring out her sexuality back then

fr0st

She says in the flashback panel that she knows Aruka takes being a knight very seriously and would absolutely never pressure Yukimi to do anything she doesn't want to do. It seems like a really great foundation for a relationship since they both very obviously care about each other romantically and want to support each other.

How cool! So am I :D wife and I make it work. ^^’
