SOHO Part 2 :) (Patreon)

It's the most wonderful time of the month :D, at least for me as I get to share a new set of items with you. Inspired by my trip to New York City I finally got started on the build items.

This month I concentrated on the interior and created objects that I thought were quite typical for the lofts that I saw in Soho. To divide up your space you will not only get several types of patinated metal doors but also a system of room dividers for all three wall heights. Cast iron buildings structurally include columns, therefore I created a Corinthian one for this collection. To add more charm to your New York City loft, you can decorate it with pipes, sprinklers, light switches a socket, a radiator, and exit signs for further security :D. I added a couple of windows already this month but will expand the set of windows next month when I work on the Exterior Part.

I'm sure you all saw the New 'For Rent' expansion pack trailer, I am so excited for a rental system, and what perfect timing. I am trying to observe the new expansion pack and see what kind of game mechanics I can include in the SOHO set :)

Hello, their is a building on the gallery and I think you made it. Its called Straud-hall and if you did I downloaded all the CC in sims 4 for the building but some of the windows on the top middle tower are gone?

There was a window update a few years ago, you would need to replace those window with the newest versions

Just to be 100% clear, I wouldn't include your content in my download I'd just like to tell people where to find the content I used that I didn't make. Thanks!

I was wondering this as well. To me, and I could be totally wrong so Felix please feel free to correct me, but it looks like Part One went public at the beginning of last month...like usual. But it's now almost the middle of December and there's no Felix pack for public release... Part Two here got posted Nov. 3rd; has it not been the schedule that they come out for everyone ONE month after the Early Access release? I usually keep track by remembering I'm ONE month behind if there are a few months I can't afford the Patreon. Not trying to be the choosiest of beggars (I pay the $5/month), but did the release schedule change at all? It seems like the tier offerings are a bit different than they used to be as well and I noticed this change fairly recently...

It said it is public after two months, but still this colection is not public even two months are passed.

Is 11 weeks the standard time for early access now? I thought it was 3 weeks? To be honest I haven't paid much attention since EA said that it had to be 3 weeks so maybe it has changed? Will it be available soon? Thanks :)

Not to be rude, but it seems like you are slipping back into your old ways of gatekeeping your content from players. I thought it was supposed to be 3-4 weeks that the items can be on Early Access, and now you've moved it to two months which is a long time but I understand because you make great content but you do not even hold up your end of the bargain because it has now surpassed the two months and you just ignore the individuals that try to say something in the comments. I should not have to check your Patreon every day just to be disappointed each time. Please may you come up with a CONSISTENT schedule for your content please. Again, I do not intend to come off as rude, I just did not know any other way to say it.

Here's my good-faith take as a longtime cc fan (not a creator). Everyone has to decide what cc is worth to them personally and if they want to pay for early access. In my experience, Felixandre and Harrie are responsible and consistent with their public releases and always keep them in the 2-3 month timeframe. According to EA, there's no official paywall time period. There was some controversy over an initial policy release last summer, but they later edited the statement to include early access. Source: https://help.ea.com/en/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/mods-and-the-sims-4-game-updates/ The official policy states that creators may "Offer an early access incentive for a reasonable amount of time. After a reasonable early access period, all users must be able to access the Mods in full for free regardless of whether they donate." This indicates that it's up to the creators, many of whom rely on Early Access for their livelihoods, to decide what's reasonable for them.

Same. Why would part 2 release after part 3? There's a build someone I follow made that uses this cc how did they get the cc but I can't even with a paid membership? I am confusion.

Maybe it depends on the membership they have... if its a better membership than yours (like, a leveled-up membership), then it's fair they have access earlier to the link. Not every membership works the same way as others, you have to pay attention to what your "perks" are

I don't want to be rude either, and I understand you are concerned about the changes in Early Access schedule, but I'd like to offer a different perspective. It's essential to remember that the creators are independent artists, and their Patreon supporters contribute voluntarily. While it's understandable that you have expectations based on the communicated schedule, it's crucial to recognize that creators have the flexibility to adjust their release plans as needed. They may face various challenges or priorities that influence their timeline. Being a Patreon supporter doesn't equate to being an employer. Creators appreciate the support, but it's essential to approach the relationship with a sense of appreciation rather than entitlement. Everyone has their unique circumstances, and creators often have multiple commitments. I encourage you to consider the creator's perspective and the challenges they may be facing. Open communication is valuable, but it's important to express concerns respectfully and understand the complexities involved in content creation.

Also not trying to be rude, but honestly. Custom content for a video game is not a human right. You're not entitled to it, and it's fully within their right to extend their timeline as they need to seeing as this pays their bills. If you'd like the content earlier, you're welcome to join the Patreon. I can definitely understand being frustrated about the timeline being unclear or uncommunicated, but calling it "gatekeeping is overkill. It's behind a paywall. If you need it that desperately, pay for the early access. If you don't think it's worth paying for, then you don't really get to complain. They work hard on this content and Early Access supports that work.

Ma’am your 3 cents wasn’t necessary after the two other commenters said their piece. No one said I felt it was a human right to receive anything from custom content creators like Felix and I hope it wasn’t misconstrued by anyone to be anything other than how I meant it. So with the prior understanding of all of your comments I guess just because some people can’t afford to support Felix financially we should be left in the dark? I literally just asked for transparency, if Felix decided to drop new cc today and he wanted to make it public in November I’d have no choice except to wait until November or scrap some funds to financially support. But being left in the dark is not fun just because I can’t afford to financially support. Some people literally only play with base game and cc because they can’t afford packs or extravagant cc packs so we’re just asking for transparency of HIS policy not the peanut gallery’s take on it, thanks thoughhh :)…. @Kate anything that may have been snarky was not meant for you in this post. I truly appreciate your informative and actually helpful and well sourced comment I was unaware of the updated EA policy at the time of my original comment.
