I never cared for the wizard class but decided to give it a go. I am playing a necromancer and seriously dislike it. I miss sorcery points and weapons. I looked at bladesinger and thought it seemed lame. This video has peaked my interest. I think I might try this subclass. Thanks for the tips!

This is hilariously well timed, I was just thinking about how to make a Baldesinger in 5.5.

Im currently playing a Dhampir Bladesinger in our Drakkenheim post-campaign games. Having permanent Spider Climb with the speed and AC of a Bladesinger with a Thunderbuss and katana is just TOO fun. 😁 My strategy is using CME on his gun and sword and using Arcane Vigor mixed with a Periapt of Wound Closure to keep him on his feet.

My most powerful character Ive ever made was actually a Necromancer in the Icewind Dale campaign. Other than his dracolich mount, he doesn't even use undead, he uses Magen. This is all late game stuff though, so I 100% agree that playing a Necromancer is not nearly as fun until you hit higher levels.

I hate to say I am one of those NERF or Ban BladeSingers people.
