In Catalonia (where I'm from) we have a christmas tradition called the Christmas Log.

 It's basically a Log with a face that we take home, put under the tree, give it cookies and orange peels to eat and then it gets bigger.

When it's big enough, then it's time to make him poop, because he actually poop presents. So to make him poop, we hit it with a stick while singing traditional songs

Then he poop out one present at a time, so we keep hitting it until he poops an onion.
