Daughter like mother in a way. From the beginning they would rally up disenfranchised or non-conforming folks from local systems by means of giving them or at least advertise a sense of purpose. Their fame and infamy would have new members fall onto their lap. They would even recruit defeated foes as long as they aren't Aurelian.
