Channel update - September 2018 | Next video thoughts (Patreon)

Hello folks!

Right now I am thinking about the next video and I have three ideas listed below:

~~~ GTA IV Australian censorship (Working title)A few weeks ago I came across an interesting article from 2008, which stated that GTA IV is now censored in Australia. Other articles even listed these changes.
These changes aren't so overwhelming, but, for some reason, no one haven't done a video showing these changes yet. Maybe I just didn't find it or maybe that's because these changes appear only on consoles and you have two own both games to compare them as well as a PAL console.
Anyways, I found more tidbits about these AU releases. For instance, these regional changes were reverted from the game with a help of a patch.
I thought, why not to get these discs and see if I can make a video about these regional changes? I already have them in my hands. 😅
Why did I order them for both consoles? Well, it turns out there are some differences... I will see if it is going to be my next video, but, still... I think, it is worth to show these changes anyways.
Still afraid to receive that pesky "+18" flag as I got on VC JP video... 😥
 ~~~ GTA VC - Hidden Anti-Piracy Measures (Working title)

While analyzing various GTA versions of Vice City, FireHead managed to find some interesting chunks of code, which seem to be left from anti piracy measures made by R*.

How does it work?Well, if someone cracked the game... "improperly"... then the game would "break" at some point and this, as I understood, happens after about ~30 minutes of gameplay.

As I understood, these measures are not so horrible as in GTA IV with its drunk camera and such, but still, a freaking nice find i want to cover!Why haven't we heard about them?Well, it seems pirates patched these sneaky checks in the code before releasing their crack. Sometimes, pirates don't even play the game and that's why they might miss that the game breaks at some point. Spyro and GTA IV is a great example of these measures. You can read more about Spyro anti piracy measures here.

Right now FireHead is looking through the code and trying to find what triggers these sneaky measures. He knows how to enable them, but we still don't know when and why the game decides to activate these measures. Don't want to talk about them as I don't want to spoil them. 🤫

If FH shares his finds soon, it will he my next video.

~~~ GTA IV - Anti-Piracy Measures (Working title)
Right after FireHead revealed me those finds, I decided to look at GTA IV as well, but I had a problem, I don't own a bad NOCD to trigger this anti piracy measures.
After wasting a whole day, I found 5 different "bad" cracks from various groups of people. All I have to do is to test them. Who knows, maybe I will do a video covering these measures at some point.
For some reason, everyone talks about drunk camera, but not about other stuff. Whenever you get in a car to drive, first you see smoke coming out of the engine and the car gets accelerated automatically. I don't know, but there might be something more. I have to look at them.  👀I am not sure if I make this video, but I always can use some footage from it in that VC video I talked above. 😎
 GTA IV - JP changes and censorship (Working title)
I think I already talked about this in the past, but I will try to check JP version of this game again and see if there are regional changes. Maybe I will talk about them in Australian video to make "GTA IV censorship" video or... who knows.  😮
Specially for that I finally modded my new (well, used) Xbox 360 to play NTSC-J discs. Previously I had some troubles with the old console. Now it works flawlessly. By the way, it is my another hobby messing around with the consoles.
Updates on other things from the past
GTA 3 - FPS script video
Yeah, I know that I promised to make this video a long time ago, but the truth is, I have a weird feeling that I should show something new rather than release something old which doesn't even work properly. Moreover, like I said before, I am kinda unhappy with the view count on this video. I thought that it would be "WOW", but it didn't happen. 😟
 9 GTA magazines
A few posts ago I said that I bought 9 GTA mags. Later I said that dude, who received my magazines, stated that he will scan them soon. The truth is, he haven't written since then. 😕  As soon as I get scans I will see if they are interesting to share them with you.
Questions and answers from R* dev (GTA IV and GTA V)
The thing is, he haven't replied to us yet and, I think, he won't.On the other hand I still have these questions prepared and I can ask them to someone else... only if I had another R* dev...  😭
Other videos I've mentioned in the past
They are till in my head, but right now I am focused on these videos from above.Still looking for a solution how to install Hackintosh. 😵
~~~

That's all, I think. Stay tuned for more!
