Hello there! Here is some fresh news for you and let's start with some good news.
~~~Future video
Right now I am thinking about making a video about GTA Vice City. I think, it is the right time to speak about this gorgeous game once again. Right now I am not sure if it is "beta facts" video or "interesting facts" video. What is the difference?
Well, if we are talking about "interesting facts" video, then I can show you newly discovered bug with the Airtrain. If you wonder, it involves skins. Yeah, skins!
Of course, I can speak about other things too. For instance, I can explain you why "Links Bridge" has no car traffic.
And why some people saw ordinary cars driving around the golf club.
Also, there are a few objects beneath or above the map.
Or reveal some strange stuff about the missions.
If we are talking about "beta facts" video, then I can show you the rest unused objects in the game. I still have them placed around the Mall area.
Well, why not to talk about this mysterious interior near Ocean View hotel?
Heck, I can even talk about "Sunshine Autos" and talk about loan sharks and some other stuff too.
Right now I am looking through my notes, investigating the game and trying to come up with a script.
If I am no mistaken, I've already done some work in November/December, but later I decided to abandon the video.
~~~Behind the scene
Unfortunately, it was a rough month for me, because instead of fully working on the new video, was mainly fighting with Youtube to save my latest "GTA SA - Strange Japanese Censorship" video from oblivion. The truth is, I didn't succeed and I had to reupload the video. More info can be found here:https://twitter.com/NationalPepper/status/1262804126766956545
If you wonder what I had to change in the video then here is a list:
I had to get rid of discussing stripper's, pole dancer's and sex worker's texture change. Instead of showing the footage, I decided to make a static visual.
I decided to change the footage showing strip club interior. Now you won't see any strippers on my footage.
I decided to get rid of hooker's quote with Carl, where she said "I love your chupandopinga" or something like that. Turns out she said "I love s**king your **ck" in Spanish and a lot of people wrote about it in the comment section.
I also decided to completely change "Key to her Hearth" section, where previously I showed this footage below discussing the mission details.
Now I talk about the mission in general without showing "controversial" scenes and details.
Moreover, I decided to make some improvements too:
I added some new visuals explaining people some interesting facts.
For instance, I had to explain people that the Rampages are available only on the consoles...
I had to explain that the final payout in quarry is smaller because there are only 6 missions...
I had to point that the developers didn't cut "high camera" effect during the "Are you going to San Fierro" mission...
There might be more new minor visuals. I don't remember anymore. he-he.
I also decided to correct some small flaws in the video too.
The biggest flaw I fixed was this visual below. Previously I showed incorrect stats there, so I had to trim that part from the video.
The rest corrections or changes were minor.
~~~Regarding the restriction...
What I didn't say on my Twitter is that this whole situation kinda pissed off and at the same time demotivated me. When I received the restriction, I contacted YouTube for some clarification. They re-watched my video and stated something like: "Sorry, the video doesn't fit our requirements. The restriction won't be lifted. Please, read our guidelines." If they watched my video why not to tell me what they didn't like there? I thought that it could be anything.
My 3rd party partnership has the "YouTube guidelines" department, where people have skills and knowledge to help creators like me. Previously they helped me to solve some issues in the past and I decided to ask their help again. Guess what, no one could explain me what Youtube didn't like in my video. Judging from their experience my video didn't break any rules. They recommended me to change the thumbnail, but in general, they had ZERO clue and YouTube didn't say jack to me or to them.
While I was figuring out what should I change in the video I noticed the reason in my YT Studio... The video received that stupid restriction for "Blurred or censored nudity" or as their rules say "Content focused on sexual body parts that are blurred or censored." Apparently, if you talk about stripper's texture you are violating their rules. I tried to use their trim feature and it broke my video and I had to hide the video. If I am not mistaken, the video wasn't available on my channel for two weeks. This was a disaster.
In the end I had to reupload the video, because I had no choice. The biggest problem is, people now open the video, see that it is a reupload and close the video. Algorithms don't like it and YouTube doesn't promote the video so well. As a result, the video doesn't get many views. The views are needed for YouTube to promote the channel. This is how your hard work is flushed into the toilet. This is sad.....
