November 2015 - Update #2 (Patreon)

Hi folks! I have never spoken what I actually do with the Patreon money.

 I think the time has come. There won't be a surprise that I bought a

few more Bradygames guides in order to get some more beta pictures. To

this date, I managed to get "EFLC", VCS, and "GTA 3 PC German" guide.

To my sadness, EFLC guide was the most expensive and it didn't have so

much pre-release in-game screenshots. Honestly, I found only a few.

On the other hand, VCS guide was full of them. I am not planning VCS

video right now, wanted to have it just in case. Moreover, for a long

time I managed to get it dirt cheap.

And now the most interesting part, German GTA 3 PC guide. Obviously,

this guide is in German, but why did I buy it in the first place? Well, I

 always thought that these translated Bradygames guides were always made

 from the same English guide (at least starting from SA). Original

English GTA 3 PC guide is Black and White and when I saw a picture of

this German guide, I noticed that it is colorful and also is a little

bit different. For three months I was monitoring its price till it

dropped significantly down.

Today I received the guide and, honestly, I am still shocked. Not only

this guide doesn't look completely similar to its "source", but also has

 a page with the name of "Work in progress", which has this interesting

page.

This is my small thank for all of you, who keeps supporting me even

today. Speaking of this page, it features never seen before 2 renders of

 Portland. The "smaller" one was used once in PSM article, but not as a

whole picture and who read it anyways?

Speaking of the bigger render, I don't even know when it's dated. I

mean, I didn't even find this place in the final game, I made a pure

guess, when I took that picture. Just look at it, every thing's

different. I don't even know at least one alpha screenshot of this

place.

Considering this fact, I might say, that it represents the most early

close look map render we have ever seen.

I want to ask not to distribute these pictures over the Internet and

forums. I will try to do some kind of a video-comparison of these

renders and of course to find someone with a scanner.

If I understood correctly, there is also a German PS2 guide for GTA 3

and German PS2/PC guides for Vice City, which might be different as

well, since they have different authors.

When I accumulate some more extra money, I will try to buy three of them

 and see if I am lucky or not. As always, I will try write an update

through this form.
