Hello there! I hope you are doing well.

~~~ GTA SA - Removed mission featuring flowerpot (WIP name)
Two months ago I told you about an idea of recreating removed mission in SA with DYOM. In that post I teased one mission featuring the mysterious RC Cam. And you might be wondering what is the current status of this video? Well, nothing good, really.
Back in May-June I was discussing the details with an experienced DYOMer, who decided to try to recreate this mission so I could make a footage for a video. The sad thing is, after two months of waiting I have nothing that I can use in a video. What is more sad, he accidentally removed the code and started from a beginning. So the plan basically failed and this is sad, because the script for that video was already written like a month ago.
~~~ GTA SA - Another removed mission (WIP name)

On the other hand, I was also discussing another removed mission with another mission maker. I didn't write about it in the past, because I thought that it won't gonna happen, because:

1. The removed mission was very hard to recreate. Too many questions and removed game mechanics.

2. The entire mission was going to be coded on CLEO and released to the public.

And you know what? When I released my previous video "GTA VC - Removed mission restored", it kinda inspired the dude to continue working on this project. I am very excited to reveal that I have a fully working prototype of this mission. It seems that this is my next video.

So what this mission is about? According to the leaked cut text found in the DE release, the mission “High Noon” was different in the beta. Instead of Tenpenny killing Hernandez in a cutscene, it seems he was killed off screen and the body was left in Tenpenny’s car.

Our job was to take Tenpenny’s car, find a good place around the plane graveyard to dig a hole and dump the body. But it wasn't as easy as it sounds. First we had to get a shovel and avoid roadblocks. Apparently the cops or feds knew that Hernandez was missing and lurked around the area.

When we got the shovel, we were chased by a helicopter. Our job was to drive away from it and prevent it from reading our license plates by staying at a distance. If the plates were identified, the mission failed. It was cat and mouse chase.

At some point the helicopter had to fly away to refuel. This would give us some time to dig a hole around the graveyard. Funny enough the digging was a mini game. Like a dancing mini game, but instead of dancing, we had to dig a hole. If we pass the mini game, the mission would be completed. If we didn't pass the mini game, the mission would fail telling that a half dug-hole looks a bit suspicious. lol

Back in May I thought that it was nearly impossible to recreate this mission and didn't have any hopes on it. During this week I received a working prototype of this mission, but with no digging mini game. It wasn't just finished. We started to brainstorm what to change and what to keep and very shortly the digging mini game was coded too. Right now I have everything I need to talk about this mission in a video. Didn't even expect it to happen.

Yes, the "fan made" mission feels very weird and clunky, but it is a perfect way to talk about something that was completely cut from the game. And I want to remind that we have just some text strings from it. Maybe it was never even coded, I don't know.

Funny enough, the strings are so old that they feature a character name who say them. For instance, CJ has zero, but Tenpenny has around 13. So I thought why not to voice them? This is why I was m seeking actors who could voice these strings for me.

The next step is to write a script and evaluate VO from people. Kinda cool that I always had a plan "B" if that idea with flower pot wouldn't work

~~~
So this is it for now. I hope you are enjoying this summer (unless you are living in a different climatic zone). Thank you for supporting me and I hope to see you soon.
