Regarding the conversation about the duel terms. Back in episode 3, if I'm not mistremembering, Shaddiq says that every duel has to have something put up at stake for both sides, so Suletta agreeing to duel Elan means she has to accept that something is going to be at stake. She just made the mistake of not finding out that it was going to be Aerial until after she'd already agreed.
